I've written 100s of landing page headlines in the last 4 years.

Here are 10 headline copywriting tips to increase conversions:
Tip: Sell the transformation

Great copy speaks to who the reader is now and who the reader can become by converting on your offer.

Example: @thisiskp_ + @beondeck
Tip: Call out objections

Don't give users a reason to second guess your offer. Speak to their most common objection directly in your headline and subheader.

Example: @hubspot's @TheHustle
Tip: Outcome-With-Process (OWP)

This high-converting formula prioritizes clarity. Explain what will happen and how it will happen, positioning your offer as the solution.

Example: @hipreetam93's @delightchathq
Tip: Ditch the headline

Unexpected ideas stick with readers. Ditch the traditional headline for short, impactful statements that compel users to read line after line.

Example: @arvidkahl's Embedded Entrepreneur
Tip: Concrete phrases

Concrete words are quickly visualized. "Command center" evokes instant imagery.

The more concrete your copy, the more vivid it becomes.

Tip: Confident tonality

Soft copy can produce less trust in your ability to deliver on bold promises. Write with confident, reassuring phrases.

Tip: Repetition builds recognition

Your brand name will be noticed immediately. Reinforce and repeat it in your headline as the ideal solution to a users main problem.

Tip: Show empathy

Freelancers rarely get paid on time. Wave deeply understands that pain and promises a combination of utility and speed.

Example: @tksimpson's @wavehq
Tip: Positivity increases conversion

Positive phrases statistically convert at higher rates. Use positive verbiage that makes the reader feel heard.

Example: @tobi's @Shopify
Tip: When in doubt, go simple.

If you are struggling to write a good headline, be as simple as possible.

Answer: (1) what you do (2) who you do it for.

Backstory:

monday had good existing content that existing users liked.

BUT they weren't optimized for search intent and NEW visitors.

Which means there was a constant mismatch between the stuff they were publishing and the stuff that was actually performing well in Google.
They also lacked content geared towards their various customer profiles:

Marketing, sales, ops, IT, HR. Construction, education, nonprofits, and more.
