Recently ordered a pair of 80 ohm DT 770 Pros and nothing I have seemed to drive them hard enough. That’s why I got the FiiO A3 I mentioned yesterday. Holy shit does it do the job. Has a great bass boost for casual listening too (normally quite flat for mixing). Image
Improvised a little mount for it. FiiO’s stuff also always comes with nice quality accessories. This has silicone bands and buffer mats so you can attach it to a music player or other device and a tiny audio cable too. Image
Tested this pretty extensively last night and honestly I'm kicking myself for not switching to higher impedance cans and an amp years ago. It's like a whole new experience.
The one thing that hasn't clicked in my brain yet is why higher impedance headphones have slimmer delicate coils. Shouldn't it be the other way around, where you need more juice to drive a bulkier coil? Help me out, electrical engineer Twitter.
Doing some Googling and I guess the idea is lower impedance would cook a lighter coil because it lets more power through, so you need those ohms to slow things down. Makes sense.

Basically if you search very specifically for Tiananmen Square Massacre images or specifically images of the Tank Man from Tiananmen Square, the search engines will reluctantly show results, but anything slightly more generalized than that and it's totally sanitized.
And even that is iffy. Look at the Bing results for "Tank Man Tiananmen." That first results is a heavily photoshopped meme of it and that's it. Image
I'd almost be less suspicious if it was every single search engine, but Google behaves totally normally and returns the results you'd expect from these searches and every other engine behaves bizarrely when you search this stuff. That's much weirder.

I can't say enough that China's refusal to allow US specialists into Wuhan early on to help and their lies about human-to-human transmission are proven facts. This isn't about whether they're innocent. It's whether they ALSO lied about its origins on top of all that.
Another proven fact is that they have been cagey and unyielding on things that there would be no reason for them to be cagey and unyielding over if they were being forthright.
You can't act like this scenario is equivalent to one where investigators were granted full access and found no evidence.

"Hey, can we see any data?"

"No."

"In that case, we found no evidence."

Not putting anyone on blast yet but I took my guitar to get fixed up, spent a bunch of time explaining the problems and asking if they could do specific things, and two weeks later I get it back with barely anything done. Like I just asked for a minor setup and adjustment. 😤
You know who else does this? Bicycle shops. Those guys will just do a standard service on your bike no matter what specific thing you ask for.
Sorry, I'm really annoyed and I didn't take it out on the people at the store because it wasn't their fault so you gotta hear about it. Seriously the only stuff they did to it was the stuff I could have done myself.

OK for the record, I cannot find any tweets at all prior to this one about Emily Wilder and Students for Justice in Palestine using her name, twitter name, the acronym SJP, or anything like that, so I don't know which conservatives tried to get her fired or where they did it.
I'll be happy to post an update on this if someone has it.
There's a Federalist article that cites a tweet by Stanford College Republicans. I guess that's where it came from:

"From the river to the sea just means equality," which is why the Palestinian Authority has the death penalty for sale of land to a Jew.
Here's an article about it from the 90s but as recently as 2019, Palestinians were getting life in prison for this. nytimes.com/1997/05/06/wor…
