Perhaps the Fatui just weren't thinking when they designed their uniforms to be some of the easiest to infiltrate and disguise oneself in.
Masks did, after all, hide almost every essence of a person's visage, and with the tight hoods the mages and agents both wore.
It helped that they had managed to both infiltrate the uniform room in the rented out rooms of Mondstadt's hotel.
"Here," Diluc muttered, having had his back turned on Kaeya for the entire duration while they changed. He didn't need temptation, after all.
Even if the Alpha had worked hard to get dressed a little more quickly so he could maybe catch the last sight of Kaeya's skin before he covered it completely.
When he turned, though, he saw much more than that.
Soft, dark skin plush against thigh windows.
More at his sides, where soft blue cloth barely covered his stomach. He had to shift, because his pants suddenly felt a little tighter. "What the hell are you wearing?"
A rhetorical question.
"There's no point in me dressing as an agent," Kaeya announced.
"We both know they only use Pyro delusions in this part of the country. At least I can pass as using a Cryo delusion." It was more flesh than even Kaeya was used to showing, and without the layers of his uniform hiding it, Diluc could already pick up on the Omega's scent.
Diluc had promised to behave on this mission--he had promised that it would be hands off, that they would gather intel for their respective purposes and watch each other's back. Prove they could actually work together.
Instead, his gloves found Kaeya's waist as his fingers dipped under the fabric leading to his back, and he buried his face against Kaeya's neck.
"Why aren't you using scent blockers?"
"Cicin mages done," Kaeya answered, going tense. "It's part of why they're so... wild."
It was a polite way of wording their eccentricities, but the Delusion-maddened mages kept their senses only /because/ they tapped into their instincts, driving others around them to the edge as well to protect themselves from attack.
Diluc's stomach twisted at the thought of other Fatui scenting his Omega, of other Fatui knowing the distinct aroma of fresh snow on a night breeze. His grip tightened.
"Diluc," Kaeya reprimanded softly, reminding him of the mission. There was movement outside of the door.
Begrudgingly, Diluc pulled back and donned the Agent's mask, letting Kaeya pull on the Cicin mask as well, just as the door opened.
A lower ranking Fatui apologized quietly, and saw his way out. Sparing one glance to each other, they moved out into the hotel, preparing to go.
It's a big enough camp that no one questions when an unfamiliar Agent and Cryo Cicin arrive. It was a little more work than either would like to admit to disguise their Visions as Delusions, but from there, they split up.
Or, they try to.
Diluc feels his stomach twisting in the sea of unfamiliar scents, for none of the Fatui masked them. It was seen as a sign of weakness at best, and an advantage in battle, at worst.
Any means necessary. Still, he tries to keep Kaeya in the corner of his gaze.
For how distracted he is, though, he does garner quite a bit of intelligence about the area; they were the recent reinforcements for a Harbinger that had been in the area, but now they were stationed at ease and awaiting further commands.
It's useful, and he hoped Kaeya was getting just as many tips as he was.
Until he turned to see one of the other Agents shamelessly pinning Kaeya under a tree, clearly interested given his body language.
It seemed even the Fatui weren't above some kind of harassment.
It takes everything Diluc has to not tear the man apart on the spot, but he approaches, stiff with his lips borne into a snarl under his mask. "I need to have a word with that one," he announced, slowly.
The Agent seemed reluctant to back off, but rather than question, he did.
It wasn't a good look to question the authority of their peers.
Though contact was sure to be frowned on, Diluc seized Kaeya's wrist and yanked him off into one of the many tents that made up the camp. He didn't know what it was for--he didn't care, either.
"You shouldn't have come out on this mission," he snarled the minute he verified that the tent was empty. It seemed to be a resource stock, given the books and boxes of supplies around the edges. Immediately, Diluc backed Kaeya against the table at the middle.
"And why not?" Kaeya countered, intense. "Because I'm an Omega? We've had this discussion Diluc, I won't let you take me less seriously-"
"Because I haven't /marked/ you yet," Diluc snarled softly, his incisors aching with the desire to sink into that pretty, bared throat.
Kaeya went quiet, his heart racing in his chest. With neither of them blocking their scent, the smoky, low sandalwood of Diluc's scent was blazing through the tent, flooding his senses. His own warmed in turn.
Unbidden, Diluc's hips pin his own down.
He's hard.
"'Yet'?" Kaeya almost croaked, softly, trying to keep from inhaling that Alpha scent with any level of obviousness. He swore it could cut down to his very atoms, trying to become part of him for how it filled him.
Diluc managed to avoid biting by kissing his neck instead.
"Diluc," Kaeya murmured, feeling Diluc's hands grasp at his thighs, ducking into the windows of the fabric there to grasp at his skin, lifting him to sit against the table instead. "Diluc, this is dangerous-"
"I'm tired of pretending like I care if it's dangerous or not."
Brutally honest as always. Kaeya's breath hitched as he felt teeth trail against his throat, down to his scent gland. Diluc ground his hips forward, drawing a soft moan from him that the Alpha silenced by pushing his mask askew and kissing him.
He wasn't allowed to make noise.
He could feel the disadvantages to how tightly the Cicin mages wore their clothes, now. The bulge of his cock was noticeable in the fabric, smaller than Diluc's by far thanks to how nature had decided to have him present--but so was the darkened fabric under it. He was wet.
Diluc noticed it easily, too, one hand dipping against the fabric to press an indent upwards just beneath the tent in the fabric. He pressed his fingertips there back and forth, teasing Kaeya's hole through the layers and making the Omega whine and grind against his hand.
Rather than do anything about undoing the outfit though, Diluc's hand moved down to one of the thigh-windows. Kaeya froze, knowing that Alpha-brain didn't exactly think these things through.
"Don't you dare."
From the thigh window, the fabric ripped across his hips, not tearing away the legs completely, but making a big enough hole for Diluc to pull back and admire how wet his Omega was.
Of course he undid his own pants properly afterwards.
The bastard.
He didn't bother with more than a courtesy grind against Kaeya's slick thighs before he was already pressing his tip to him, the short jerks of his hips sliding him deeper into Kaeya than Kaeya had expected so soon, stretching him faster than he was used to.
Diluc gave him no quarter to prepare, no moment to acclimate to the hard, thick length that had spread his body to the point of weakness, leaving Diluc's hand to support Kaeya's back to keep him upright while his body moved to make a steady, quiet slap of his hips on Kaeya's.
The Omega grasped at Diluc's uniform, his fingers digging uselessly at his shoulder as he tried not to cry out from the sudden stimulation, burying a yelp into Diluc's shoulder as a rough snap of Diluc's body against his own bottomed him out.
"You brat!"
It was a useless sentiment, a useless insult, but so, so true. Whatever Diluc didn't have he had a tendency to take, and Kaeya was no exception in the moment. Unaffected because he /knew/it to be a purely physical reaction from Kaeya being overwhelmed, Diluc shrugged it off.
He had far more important things to do, like bury his face against Kaeya's shoulder and press and open-mouthed, sharp scrape of his teeth against his Omega's scent gland. A warning.
"Don't you dare mark me here, don't you fucking dare Diluc Ragnvindr-"
Empty words, all of them.
He could feel how Kaeya squeezed around him and keened against him when his teeth brushed that little, soft touch of skin where his scent was strongest.
It wasn't romantic. There were no grand gestures. But Kaeya knew he wasn't romantic.
For some reason, he loved him anyway. He loved him even if he was pounding his Omega into the table in the riskiest place in all of Mondstadt. And he'd love him still if he marked him here to make a clear claim on him in front of all of these /bastard/ Fatui.
He drags Kaeya's face hard forward against his shoulder to silence his scream when he sank his teeth into his scent gland--not a scream of pain, certainly not, because the minute his sharp incisors pierced the shape of his bite into his skin, he was already cumming.
It was a mess of the already ruined uniform--and Diluc was about to make it more so. He couldn't knot him here, not after how much noise Kaeya was making. It would take too long to go down.
The only option was to pull out, and stroke himself until he finished on Kaeya's stomach.
He could feel the threat of his knot rising, instincts furious that he wasn't filling his freshly mated Omega on the spot, but he wouldn't put them in any more real danger than he already had. He let Kaeya lay back on the table, shuddering and spent, before the Omega went still.
Breathless, Diluc looked up to him, flushed with a fresh mark red and just a little bloody. "Kaeya?"
Kaeya's gaze dropped to him, and he let out a shaking breath. "Diluc, you idiot," he hissed slowly. "You marked me and didn't knot me. You're sending me into a heat."
It would explain why his scent had just gone much, much sweeter.
With such a fresh claim mark, half of the camp would be able to scent out the heat but not Diluc's mark on him.
His instincts snarled, and Diluc had to ignore the very real urge to knot him on the spot.
For now, he would bundle Kaeya safely in his jacket, and slowly reach for his Vision, a spark of furious, possessive rage in his gaze.
"Then I'll just have to wipe out this camp and get us out after all, won't I?"
It wasn't like he hadn't been looking for an excuse to.
Protecting his newly mated, /incredibly/ annoyed Omega and getting him to a safe place so he could mate him properly, perhaps put a child or two in him...
Well, they were just the icing on the cake.
/// end! ;) Thank you guys so much for supporting Diluc Quest 3! I'll be starting the polls for Diluc Quest 4 in a few hours!

The place sandwiched between a sex shop that had a reputation for selling returned and used toys and the office of a notorious loan shark was a strip club that might have been easy to miss, if one didn't know what was behind the curtains in the back.
It was said that once a week, every Thursday night, the club would break out what they called 'special shows'--and once a month, for the right price, one could touch the untouchable.
For the last sixteen weeks, Zhongli had secured one room for himself in particular.

Kaeya Alberich was rarely a man without some ulterior scheme behind his actions--and even more rarely, a man without a plan.
He knew full well what he was doing when he walked into the Angel's Share that night, reeking of the last few hours of pre-heat before it would take him.
He had waited for two days, watching carefully from a distance, for Diluc to go pick up one of his shifts at the start of the afternoon.
No suppressants. No heat masks. Kaeya enters the tavern smelling like sweet lilies and mint candy, saccharine and intoxicating.
sometimes i want to write like. theoretically gross, nonkinky but still casually nsfw domestic ideas
Like the time Kaeya had to sit in the bathroom for 2 hours because Diluc didn't listen to him and came inside and Kaeya complains every 15 minutes that he hates him (he doesn't)
just stupid stuff that people don't really think about usually because it's glossed over in fiction because it's perceived as gross
it's all stupidly endearing to me because of the unexpected realism I guess.
diluc just 'just wash it out'
'I can't because you decided to PAINT MY LOWER INTESTINES, you motherfucker.'
In the second year that Diluc is gone from Mondstadt, the blanket of grief that had been driving him on in a blind rage against the Fatui lifts enough for him to settle in and perceive time once more.
It takes him a while to process how long he's been gone.
The Wanderer's Troupe captain that took him in, bloodied and half dead from his assault on the last Fatui hideout tells him that's normal. No one can ever say how badly death deals a blow to the living on it's journey to steal and rob and take.

One of their rangers brings him in, with the report that they had found him just short of Starsnatch, muddy and a little uncomfortable and lost.
Fortunately, the ranger had been older, and he had recognized the boy instantly.
Kaeya... regrets the fact that he is the first one they think to take him to. Maybe their disagreements weren't quite public enough, if people make such assumptions, but he's a little too distracted by the boy that sits on his desk, kicking his legs, the minute he walks inside.
