Democrats will pursue two tracks:

(1) More bipartisan talks through a couple of new groups popping up in the House and Senate.

(2) Initiate a reconciliation vehicle to pass a bill without Republicans, should they choose to cut them out.

RIP conservative scorecards?

Chip Roy has lifetime ratings of 96% from Heritage Action and 95% from American Conservative Union.

He just got smoked for the No. 3 House GOP leadership job by Elise Stefanik, who has lifetime ratings of 48% from Heritage Action and 44% from ACU.
It wasn't long ago that these scorecards instilled fear in House Republicans and were used as barometers of ideological purity in party primaries, leadership jockeying and so on. Today it's all irrelevant. "Conservative principles" mean whatever Donald Trump wants.
The conservative group Club For Growth gives Elise Stefanik a lower lifetime rating (35%) than ... Ilhan Omar (38%). I am not kidding.
