I get asked this sooo often 😅.

So here's my TOP 7 apps for academic writing/researching/well-being (reviewed) 👇🏾✨

RESEARCHING

1. 'Google Scholar' - A very easy-to-use search engine that finds scholarly literature/research across universities, academic publishers, & other depositories. A useful & simple way to find new or unknown research. Image
ORGANISATION

2. 'Scrivener' - I couldn't recommend it enough! The best app for organising your work/ideas/references etc., for those who find it difficult to put all their ideas in one place. The best alternative to 'Word'. @ScrivenerApp Image
PRODUCTIVITY

3. 'Forest' - Forest is a fun & simple 'game' that keeps you off social media. If you keep off your trees grow, if you don't they reset to seedlings. It follows the pomodoro writing interval technique (25 mins) & provides an opportunity to plant real trees! Image
TASK MANAGEMENT

4.  'Trello' - is perhaps one of the most visual & user-friendly apps for keeping on top of tasks/deadlines, creating workboards & so much more! @trello Image
DATA MANAGEMENT

5. 'Dropbox' - An independent cloud storage device that syncs across all your devices. Image
DATA SENDING/SHARING

6. 'WeTransfer'- best site for sharing and sending large files and documents which may be too big to send via email. Image
WELL-BEING

7. 'HeadSpace' - A wonderful app to calm anxiety and manage your thoughts through meditation and relaxation. @Headspace Image
Also (don't have an app to recommend) but for those who talk aloud their ideas, always record on a device when audibly 'discussing' with yourself (or others - with their permission of course)! Those recordings do wonders!!
Love Word's dictation function, you can also do dictation on Scrivener!
Shortcut: Ctrl + Alt + Space (on Word) 👇🏾

Just to add, I'm not really a fan of any of the reference tools/software (Endnote, Zotero, etc.). Though I have heard that Mendeley is probably the best app out of all the ones available. I don't swear by it, but do check it out (but also try the others to see what works for you)
'Citavi' seems to be a highly regarded Reference Manager/Tool, was recommended here and great reviews online 🙌🏾😊
