The Nigerian Navy consolidated its rank as the premier maritime power in Sub Saharan Africa with the launch of a new landing ship tank.

This new LST bolsters the Nigerian Navy sealift capability. Nigeria can now project power far from home, not just in the maritime domain.
The navy can land army troops, tanks, amoured vehicles in the coast of any West African state in the Gulf of Guinea and beyond.
It took two years to build. The Keel laying ceremony for the LST 100 was held on the 9 December 2019 at The Damen-Albwardy Shipyard in Sharjah the UAE. The immediate past CNS Vice Admiral IE Ibas placed the Nigerian Navy insignia into the keel and sealed it.
Without an amphibious force, any military force is greatly constrained in where and how it can conduct operations. This new LST ship and the troops and payload they can carry will boost Nigeria's firepower and political influence far from its shores.
Jets can drop bombs and ships can fire deck guns at the shore, but you might need infantry to go ashore and kill the enemy and occupy the ground. The Nigerian Navy now has this capability. It showcases Nigeria's increasingly powerful military.
When the new missile armed Frigate comes on stream Nigeria will have the capacity to combine them with its other offshore patrol vessels, NIMASA'S CSR4 architecture and amphibious and support vessels. This is air, land and sea approach to secure Nigerian waters.
These self contained fleets can be deployed as a show of force to deter potential enemies or to protect Nigeria's national interests. Nigeria now has the means to land tanks, thousands of troops on the coast of any West and Central African country.

Well theres breaking news. 48 hours after announcing the withdrawal of troops from Mali, the French army miraculously kills an al-Qaeda leader in the Sahel, vowing to keep a substantial military presence in the region.

Observe the reverse psychology in motion again. Image
For seven years this al-Qaeda commander was elusive to French forces. No matter how hard they tried he was supposedly invisible.

Then 48 hours after Macron announced the draw down of forces in Mali the French army finally nails him !!
...and not only that, French defence minster Florence Parly vowing to keep a substantial military presence in the region.

When you take into account the mental backflip Macron has been doing in reent months you realize France has no interest in leaving Africa.

So, France suspended military and economic cooperation with the Central African Republic over growing anti-French sentiments. The Friend military said it considered the Central African Republic as complicit in an anti-French campaign. This is the modus operandi Image
..of France in Africa. A country is destabilized. They send troops, and set up shop. The day the host country adopts or take a position contrary to French interest, Paris threatens to withdraw its troops. There are French troops in Gabon, Niger, Chad,
Mali, Cameroon. These troops are deployed with blackmail in mind. How many times have France threatend to withdraw troops over rising anti-French sentiment? In a NATO Summit in London Macron threatened to withdraw French troops in the region over rising anti-French sentiments.

The French arms trafficker has finally being charged with espionage in the C.A.R a month after he was busted with huge caches of weapons, ammunition and foreign bank notes in the CAR.

Not only that. He was discovered to have aided and trained CAR rebel fghters since 2013. ImageImageImage
Lemme tell you how heartless these people are. Its all about geopolitics. The Central African republic was a French colony. Until recently France wielded great influence in the country. After years of French involvement in the country with little improvement in security
The Central African Republic got fedup with France and moved towards Russia. The Russians were all too happy to assist. Heartbroken France was determined to prove the Russians are no better by covertly training, funding and arming rebel groups to keep the country destabilized.

Now we cannot deny there are quality control issues with Chinese weapons. Thats a fact. They are no where near parity with West..but you also cannot deny that is a rich mans burden. Most cash strapped 3rd world armies have different mission requirements. The modular design

Two of the most dangerous enclaves for bandits are Tubali and Makkai forest in Kaduna. We talking over 3,000 hectares of Savannah grasslands all under the exclusive control of armed fulani insurgents.
These bandits are in 100 percent control of command and administration of all the settlements in Tubali and Makkai forest. The inhabitants of the two settlements are very comfortable and freely living with the dreaded bandits.
Ironically however, there is a military outpost in each of the two separate borders that will take you to the forest of Tubali and Makkai where the bandits are virtually ruling.
