For those curious about the DELTA AY.1 sub-variant. This is the so called Nepal variant which Hancock thought we did not have. Small numbers but we have 35 (+11 other possibles). First identified here on 26 April.
Of those with that Nepal variant with a known vaccination status

📌2 = recent 1-dose <21 days.
📌5 = 1-dose+21 days.

Separate data by age group and vaccination type would be welcome, but highly likely (when comparing data) that older & frailer in England disproportionately got AZ is also the group at much higher risk of dying from Covid
