So we decided we'd give the #WeekendWebsiteWarriors a FREE giveway - here's how WE build a website - but not all our #LaunchKit secrets... but I'll show you EXACTLY how YOU CAN a free guide with videos and all! Here we go...

First - know your audience and your primary service - and go to trends.google.com to see patterns and seasonality for your key service. Checkout breakout trends too...

2nd - select a smart business name and domain (use NameCheckr.com to make sure profiles are available)... ONLY search domains at domains.google.com so nobody snatches your domain... here's some key domain tips...

Avoid double letters (unlike us... grrr) and make sure it's easy to say on a phone, or spell in an email... there's even SEO value proven if you can get a city/location in the domain - but aim for less than 15 characters...

Setup hosting with (well, there's a lot) but Kinsta, Flywheel, or Bluehost (prob in that order -- most to least) and connect your DNS, activate SSL, update Nameservers and then you have to get nerdy...

Install WordPress (don't use divi, beaverbuilder or other bloated editors... follow my guide later on my top tips...)

Don't forget to setup email with Gsuite (easiest to use across devices)... for your @yourdomain email setup.

Pick a light, fast, smart theme... or sign up for Elementor PRO and pick a theme, use Coolors.co to pick a great pallette... don't just marry your theme colors... and use looka.com or 99designs.com to grab a logo... make sure you have CTA hex

After you install your theme, setup menus, core pages (5-10 to launch to get properly indexed) and ensure single H1 on each page... pick and optimize photos from pexels.com or unsplash.com for free, use birme.net to optimize and tag them SEO

Once you place photos and double check mobile styling - a big key - the install GA tracking, and the free Yoast or RankMath SEO plugin, and 'insert header footer' plugin to place your GA code for tracking...

Update your menu to have your homepage the live homepage, setup a GMB account, add SCHEMA to location pages... setup your social profiles with the SAME url extensions as your .com for consistency... then keep adding helpful content - using answerthepublic.com as a free guide
