There is definitely some obfuscation going on with this Schiff/Apple subpeona story. First the nyt's reports they were in 2017 and 2018. Then they let out that the gag order was renewed annually 3 times ending this late spring, meaning this originated in the late spring 2017.
Which matters cause laufman and van grack had their hands in the cookie jar back then.

My guess is he's trying to throw shade and keep the trump doj narrative going when in reality the whole debacle start to finish was really in the hands of career doj swamp with no interest in real answers.

Its likely there was an updated, revised, or even new subpoena in Feb 2018, but they are effectively trying to hide the sausage of where and when and by whom this whole $hitshow leak investigation got started.
