Now that it is pride month and we are once again enveloped in the discussion about cops at pride let me give you a quick history lesson
For over a 100 years state, city, and federal law enforcement systematically created methods of targeting, supressing and destroying gay people and gay culture.
This included blackmail, ol legalizing gay congregation, punishing business owners who did not crack down on patrons, harassing, raiding, killing, beating and mocking queer individuals.
Before any one says this is all in the past, I highly suggest you look up some accounts by trans women, drag queens and other gender non conforming individuals about their experience with the police. Many have recounted strip searches, mocking, photographs, and much more
The police are not our friend and even though law enforcement might be one of the only things that can enforce laws that are designed to protect us from harassment, those wounds are still open and it makes many people more uncomfortable than anything for them to be present
Also this isn’t even getting into how people use gay panic defenses to get out of crimes, how politicians used the threat of outting to threaten opponents, how politicians used gay people as props to beat their opponents in races, and so much more

So I have a map series that is inspired by @AveryTheComrade 's discussion of Alaska and how a lot of people talk about Florida
What I am going to do is go state by state and see how much you'd have to remove for the non-dominant political party to win the state.

Some rules:
Try not to split counties
Try not to split cities
State 1: Wyoming.

You'd have to remove 540,000 people to create a blue Wyoming and it would basically just be Laramie Image
