Corporate PR think tank AS/COA spent years cheerleading crooked,US-backed Lava Jato judge Sergio Moro as he crippled key sectors of the economy, caused 4.4 million job losses and helped elect Bolsonaro. Now it warns that 1-man crusades against corruption aren't working.
Notice the false equivalency in AQ's framing center-left Mexican President AMLO with Brazilian President Bolsonaro. Their Golden Boy Sergio Moro is under criminal investigation for illegally helping elect Bolsonaro, and for conflict of interest by becoming his Justice Minister.

Like all fascists in history, the Bolsonaro-Guedes administration hates higher education. They've cut so much funding to Federal University of Rio de Janeiro - founded in 1792, w 9000 staff and 60,000 students - that the Dean says it may have to close next month.
Notable graduates of UFRJ include Oscar Niemeyer, Clarice Lispector, Jorge Amado and Vinicius de Moraes.
Important to note that Brazil is hardly broke. It still has over $300 billion US in foreign reserves, r$1 trillion in national reserves and US$240 billion in outstanding loans to the US Gov. Destroying the University system is a fascist political project.

The biggest false narrative in the MSM about Brazil at the moment is, "Lula's charges were dropped on a technicality." Lula's charges were dropped due to criminal Forum Shopping. Judge Sergio Moro is now suspect of committing felony judicial bias. Here are examples (thread)
1: As judge, while giving instructions to the prosecution the entire time on things like media strategies, Sergio Moro had over a dozen phone lines in Lula's defense team wire tapped for a month so prosecution could map out possible moves. agenciabrasil.ebc.com.br/geral/noticia/…
This crime would cause the immediate debarring of the judge and transfer of trial in any other country in the world and was public knowledge in 2016. Nearly all Anglo journalists ignored it, continuing to praise Moro and Lava Jato until Lula's imprisonment was imminent.

Brazilian Journalist Malu Gaspar says hacker Walter Delgatti, who gave 57 GB of leaked Telegram conversations between members of the Lava Jato taskforce to Intercept and 6 TB to the Supreme Court, caused the reversal of charges against ex-President Lula. He is a national hero.
Delgatti is currently facing 300 consecutive 1-year prison sentences for exposing the criminal bias committed by judge Sergio Moro and the US government's collaboration in removing Lula from the 2018 presidential elections and handing the presidency to Jair Bolsonaro.
Pierre Omidyar's Intercept benefited immensely from the tiny portion of leaks it chose to share with the public. The honorable thing do do would be to help Delgatti stay out of prison. Delgatti says he did not charge for the 57GB and Intercept refused his offer of more data.

Lula's team releases information obtained from hacker Walter Delgatti showing Lava Jato taskforce received a 2016 Swiss Court order that it was using information obtained in Switzerland illegally and hid the ruling from the Brazilian government/public. conjur.com.br/2021-mar-29/pr…
The fact that Lava Jato was a partnership between US DOJ/SEC/Swiss Government and Brazilian Federal Public Prosecutors is public knowledge that was routinely ignored by Anglo journalists after 2016, when the US DOJ and SEC collected a $3.5 billion fine from Petrobras, forwards.
On the Brazil side, all information exchanged in the ambit of criminal investigation partnerships between Brazil and Switzerland is regulated by Decree 6.974/2009, which establishes checks and balances to protect against, among other things, abusive prosecutorial behavior

Far Right Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro announces 6 new cabinet ministers in one day, in the largest governmental shake up since he took office What does it mean? Thread
The New Minister of Defense is General Walter Braga Neto, replaces General Fernando Azevedo e Silva.
Carlos Franco França replaces Ernesto Araujo as Minister of Foreign Relations. Araujo was a right-wing extremist conspiracy theorist and fan of Steve Bannon. França is a career diplomat who is more aligned with the traditional Brazilian center-right.

Bolsonaro's Covid 19 policy sucks but Brazil still has the World's 17th highest death rate. From refusing to buy the Sputnik vaccine (like EU) to spreading lies about chloroquine (like Trump), he copied the North, so Northern calls for intervention over Covid are hypocritical.
Before people start accusing Brazilians of lying about numbers, a reminder that no Brazilian governor has yet to be busted for lying about nursing home deaths. wsj.com/articles/cuomo…
Unfortunately, Brazil has risen from 21st to 17th in the last two weeks... This new mutation is horrible. Nevertheless it's mortality rate is still far below Belgium, the UK, Italy and the US. statista.com/statistics/110…
