I've spent most of my professional life fighting *actual* theological liberalism. When I see people claiming a "liberal drift" in #SouthernBaptist Convention, or trying to "cancel" some evangelical SBC-ers as "liberals," I'm not sure they even understand their own words. #SBC21
Some of the people now being attacked as allegedly "liberal" SBC-ers are a FAR cry from Foy Valentine. Anyone who wants to claim mantle of the conservative resurgence / inerrantist revolution should at least learn their own history #SBC2021
I mean seriously, when I hear/read some strident voices trying to label/dismiss evangelicals like @drmoore or @KSPrior as scarily "liberal," it makes it sound like those talking have never actually met a real, live theological liberal. #SBC21 #SBC2021
