Everyone knows this is the national flag of the people’s republic of China. But perhaps a lot of people don’t know what the meaning behind this flag, so here’s the explanation. Actually, this flag contains many theories of socialism.(1/6)

This flag is a combination of one big star, four small stars and a red background. Let’s start with the red background, the red background represents "revolution", which means that this flag was exchanged for the bloodshed and sacrifices of countless people.(2/6)

Secondly, the first and second small star represents "working class" and "peasantry" respectively, which means the people’s republic of China is a "socialist country led by the working class and based on the alliance of workers and peasants".(3/6)

Thirdly, the third small star represents "petite bourgeoisie", in Marxist theory, it refers to those between the capitalist and the proletariat, like small businessmen, handicraftsmen, and mostly in the form of family self-employment. They neither exploit nor are exploited.(4/6)

Fourthly, the fourth small star represents "national bourgeoisie", means the own economy has little to do with foreign investment. It mainly transformed from landowners, businessmen, and so on. It’s also one of the driving forces of China's social revolution.(5/6)

Lastly, the big star represents the CPC, and surrounded by another four small stars, each small star all has a corner towards the center of the big star, which means the entire Chinese people are closely united around the CPC.(6/6)
