54,559 people in B.C. received a vaccine shot yesterday — but just 10,521 of those were first doses, by far the lowest in months.
Inched up to 76.1% of adults with first doses now, but it's gonna be tough to get to 80% if this trendline keeps up.

We will get a stronger sense of this when local health area data comes out tomorrow, but it really looks like significant transmission is now confined to the Central Okanagan, Abbotsford and Surrey
The big unknowns in the short/medium term in B.C. are pretty simple:
- Can we keep first doses happening at a decent pace for a little longer?
- Can we get to a point where no community in B.C. is having 10+ cases a day regularly?
- Can we keep the Delta variant in check?

A lot of people want B.C. to go to Stage 3 in two weeks (no group limit on dining, no restrictions on personal gatherings, nightclubs open, masks aren't mandatory), but we'll be in a much better position to do that and sustain that with just a bit more work
i just find it interesting that no matter how many times i tell people that i'm not going to centre testing rates in my analysis of the pandemic this happens
