The bearded man is Ummed Pehalwan Idrisi, who is a small rung (lower rank) leader of Akhilesh Yadav's Samajwadi Party (SP). But he does not belong to upper caste Ashrafi Muslim castes (Syed, Pathan). He belongs to IDRISI or "Darzi" / tailor caste, which is an OBC Muslim caste.
Both Hindu Darzi & Muslim Idrisi are OBC. HINDU Darzis are known by several Sanskritized names in different parts of India, most prominent of which is "Namdev".
"Idrisi" is similarly Arabized name adopted from Quranic character to give respectful "modern" name to Muslim Darzis.

IDRISI like ANSARI are among relatively more educated and economically well off Muslim OBC communities.

This bearded SAMAJWADI PARTY leader, who is most probably middle ranked SP (minority cell) leader from Western UP has more Arabized Sunni orthodox demeanor, another sign of OBC Muslims Ashrafizing themselves. Shia OBCs will copy Iranian culture & Sunni OBCs follow Saudi culture.
The Sanskritization of Hindu OBCs and their Hindutva radicalization and on similar lines, Ashrafization of Muslim OBCs and their Islamic radicalisation (in Pakistan that includes operation of terrorist organizations) has become a hallmark of Hindu (Sikh) & Muslim OBCs.
In Indian Punjab, the Sikh militancy had a substantial number of recruits from my own RAMGHARIYA OBC community during 1980s, even as Mazhabi Sikh militants were at the bottom of operational hierarchy.
Coming back to this case, as the news report clearly mentions, the Idrisi SP bearded OBC dude does not allow the old man to speak and is enthusiastically giving a narrative, which is communaluzing entire incident to joy of both SP and BJP, who tend to gain most by this drama.

It is not possible to suppress political and social ambitions of economically rising Hindu, Sikh & Muslim OBCs. Their default is Sanskritization & Ashrafization. We must not however disown them, because if we do, they will turn to radical Sanskritization & Ashrafization.
