It’s abundantly obvious that basic logic has been replaced by demagogic rationale in some left wing factions.

It’s obvious where it’s originating. Which is why ethical leadership is so crucial to a social movement.
When you demand allegiance to an ideal, refuse to consider other perspectives and assign enemy status to those who refuse to adopt your worldview, you’ve crossed over into extremism.
If you can’t recognize your behaviour and rationalizations are the same as religious fundamentalists who use terrorism and bombs, or fascists who commit random acts of violence with weapons, you’ve become a radicalized extremist.
It is not toxic ideology that creates extremism. It’s the moral reasoning that one version of the ideal is the only acceptable option permissible.

When violent behaviour is rationalized as a valid response to political provocation, you are an extremist yourself.
Radicalization is a psychological process being weaponized by aspirational opportunists and unethical political leaders to gain support and advance their agenda.

It’s being employed on the right AND THE LEFT!
This same political strategy (radicalization on opposing ends of the political spectrum & rationalization of violence as acceptable) has contributed to the start of countless wars, ongoing conflicts, and precedes EVERY genocidal rampage.
Political leaders who use this strategy should be charged with criminal incitement of violence and removed from power. Banning them from using public platforms to spread their toxic & dangerous rhetoric.

Almost exactly what was done to Trump.
On the contrary, the left’s propensity for sanctimony, righteous indignation, moral absolutism, mob mentality and mob enforcement as replacements for the political power they lack, often gets legitimization, not condemnation.
But we can not be persuaded to excuse demagoguery and the rationalization of self imposed notions of superiority.

Individual humility and respect for other’s humanity is essential in any social movement. Attempts to dehumanize need to be called out and rejected.
There is no room for rationalization of violence. Zero tolerance. But we are well beyond that guideline.
I won’t list those responsible. If you don’t know who they are, that should be a clue that your perception of acceptable moral behaviour is indication you’re ignoring cognitive dissonance.
But to demonstrate the horrific danger a moral rationalization of a single ideal as superior is, I’m going to review a historical example.

Calling you an extremist is only going to get you to dig your heels in and fight the cognitive dissonance. We can only judge ourselves.
One of the main fears for those leery of communism is the extremism used during the Russian Revolution of 1917.

Where does that originate?

From those who witnessed or learned about the extremist violence used to gain control of the Russian Empire.
Many left leaning political factions jockeyed for power. History records that the Bolsheviks lead by Lenin won out. But that’s because they eliminated their completion, literally, and killed any who dared to dissent.
That’s where the justification of small acts of violence can lead.

If you have any respect for social democracy, you’ll stop rationalizing destruction of public property and reassess your beliefs and values. If you believe only your ideals are valid, you may be an extremist.
I don’t care whether your level of frustration is through the roof.

No one has the right to impose their beliefs and values on everyone else in a free nation. Even if you are a disadvantaged minority or advocating for them.

I found these suggestions inspirational.

But as a Métis person I would assert that schools and curricula are still important issues to tackle.

Off reserve FN, non-status FN, Inuit and Métis do not have an opportunity to segregate, nor would most of them choose to do so.
I completely understand the desire to segregate. Since the people who continue to work towards genocide look exactly the same as those who are allies, it’s frightening to trust anyone.

But there are good people in the world.
I married one. I have friends from other cultures and ethnicities and I want the freedom to be me anywhere, not just safe enclaves.

I understand the desire to keep kids away from negative influences. Self esteem is developed when you’re young.

Way to take responsibility for your actions!

With no disadvantages to blame, we see the white virtue signallers oft used electoral system excuse.

GPC can’t formulate a coherent ME policy because of FPTP.

Do you know how ridiculous that claim is?
Thank god we do NOT have Proportional Representation or we might be subjected to increased levels of nuttiness blaming an electoral system for internal party politics exploding into public view.
Are you trying to campaign for your lame party or recruit Q’Anon crazies?

Who ever heard of the inability to have representation for fringe groups being the cause of fringe group infighting?

No one in their right mind. That’s who!

@AnnamiePaul is revealing that secret internal leaked letter wasn’t too far from the truth.

When autocrats are called to task for their behaviour, they come out fighting in a bombastic and discombobulating manner meant to shock and distract from the accusations against them.
They replace those doubts with targeted blame placed on an opponent’s shoulders.

Which is exactly what we just witnessed.

Paul and her party are at odds over who to support during the recent Palestinian/Israeli conflict and ongoing land possession dispute.
That has zero to do with LPC who has been very clear that the party supports a two state solution and condemns any violence by both sides of the conflict.

Yes, it’s a middle of the road policy, but intentionally does not pick sides.

Considering the length of time this long game plan has been in play (minimum 40 years), & the past behaviour of intelligence community (CIA attack on socialism & Director Hoover’s FBI investigating American dissidents ), it would be beyond foolish to think IC is 100% trustworthy.
It would be naive and on the verge of ignorance to think a serious purge of far right complicit loyalists is not required in IC, military and most law enforcement organizations.

It most definitely is required. The sooner the better.
It is highly likely that a long standing Fifth Column exists within career intelligence and military personnel. An enormous danger and national security threat.

Trump was in power for four years, but Bush jr, and Reagan both pandered to far right extremists going back to 1980.

Protecting a couple million + people’s water supply should come before approval of open pit coal mines one would be remiss to think.

In Alberta.
This is who UCP is. This is the conservative agenda.

This is what UCP voters in Southern Alberta chose.

It was okay when it was indigenous people up north. Not so good in Alberta’s most populated region, huh?

UCP voters are beginning to recognize this is the UCP standard business model. Regardless of your voting behaviour, if you aren’t corporate industry, your standard of living is inconsequential to business decisions.

It’s just business.

The privilege to appoint senators is the exclusive right of the Governor General. The privilege to recommend names for consideration is the exclusive right of the sitting PM.

Always has been. Nothing has changed.
Whether you support a bicameral system or a unicameral one is irrelevant. Your opinion matters not in the immediate situation.

However, it should be noted that unicameral systems are notoriously more autocratic than bicameral systems.
For evidence of this phenomenon, one need only look at Canada’s provincial legislatures, which are unicameral (a legislature with no senate) and review the quality of legislation made by majority held governments over the past decade, regardless of party.
