“But what if someone misuses this accommodation” is not an excuse to deny it to everyone

The fact that this needs to be pointed out is ABSURD

So I’m seeing a lot of replies that are basically “set up a system of accountability and we’ll be fine” and frankly? Nah.
I would literally ALWAYS rather more people get accommodations and “cheat” than anyone be denied accommodations they need.

I value human well being above an arbitrary rule set that pays loyalty to a system that is by design deeply exclusive anyway. Every time.

Also, if someone is seeking an accommodation they “don’t need”, I would bet that a huge amount of the time, they could benefit from it, they just grew up in a society that hid information about and stigmatized neurodivergence and disability at large.

Accommodations should be granted on the benefit of the doubt because their potential for good vastly outweighs their potential for harm.
Except in very specific circumstances (hunting, wilderness, etc) guns do NOT share this.
