(PS) Putting this 10-song playlist together also reminded me what a *great* song "Suspicious Minds" is. While I'm not a big Elvis Presley fan myself—I've always recognized his amazing talent, but it hasn't typically spoken to me personally—that performance, from 1969, is *legit*.

1/ When I briefly worked as a public defender investigator in the federal criminal justice system in D.C., I was trained to first determine all the relevant parties in the fact-pattern, which typically requires first determining all the key locations involved in the fact-pattern.
2/ That the United States Capitol is a key location in the January 6 investigation is clear. The FBI, major media, and some excellent citizen journalists have been using video and stills from that location to create a massive suspect list for January 6. This is all to the good.

1/ For some reason I still can't figure out, there's a tacit assumption among major media that while those who participated in the bloody assault on the Capitol on January 6 had extremist views, the rich and powerful Trumpists behind the scenes were oddballs but *not* militants.
2/ We've become so inured to what's euphemistically called "political rhetoric" that we have little reaction but a shrug or a roll of the eyes when Giuliani broadcasts a video on January 8 saying that the Democrat [sic] Party and media are indistinguishable, as in "Nazi Germany."

The seventh member of Trump's January 6 Willard Hotel war room will be revealed later on today at PROOF. More importantly, discovering the identity of this person led me to what is undoubtedly the wildest true story ever told about the insurrection. Stay tuned to my pinned tweet.
(UPDATE) Still working on it. Still aiming to release it this PM. This is the wildest thing I've ever written. I'm hoping the comment fields will be active here/at PROOF. This story is so bizarre that I'm almost desperate to have as many people weigh in on it as humanly possible.
(PS) I'm not messing around. Anyone who reads this story will respond "WTF!" I've been saying those words to myself the whole time I've been trying to write this up. My current model to tell the story is "five-act play"—because I don't know what else to do. So no—I'm not playing.
