Very smart move by Imran Khan to mark distance from likely Taliban takeover & to prevail upon Biden to pressure Ghani to make way for interim govt when they meet up on Friday.
Imran Khan hopes to forestall any blame from US for suffering such humiliating defeat in Afghanistan. But how could Pakistan possibly wash its hands off and walk away at this point putting all blame on Americans?
Pakistan's projection of power into Afghanistan was root cause of instability & civil war since Zahir Shah’s overthrow. In all fairness, Pakistan should pay war reparations for systematic destruction of such a beautiful country since the early 1970s.
Or else, barbed wire fence won’t protect Pakistan from Pashtun wrath that is sure to follow. Pakistan's woes are largely its own making, starting with Zia's catastrophic dalliance with Islamism, a legacy that Imran Khan happily inherited as expedient politics.
