The word ‘Ondriya Arasu’ is being propagated & cheered by the new @arivalayam govt. It’s time to reflect how India & our state have evolved over a point of time

India today comprises 29 States & 7 U T’s. However, the political map of India has been changed a couple of times
1/n
Boundaries were redrawn at several stages, new states created on linguistic lines, agitations & for administrative conveniences over the last 74 years as ‘India is an indestructible union of destructible states’.

The United States of America was formed as a union of states, one by one, under a very different circumstances starting from 1776. Nationalists – most of them war veterans – organized in every state and convinced Congress to call the Philadelphia Convention in 1787
The delegates from every state wrote a new Constitution that created a much more powerful and efficient central government! From Dec 16, 1977 each state in US was asked to ratify Articles of Confederation & it went on till March 1, 1981. Till then USA didn’t come to existence.
India is far different with a provincial parliament created for drafting the constitution in 1946, all existing Part A, B, C & D states came into existence on the appointed day of Aug 15, 1947. Later it took 3+ years for our rights in the form of a constitution to come into shape
During this time we fought a war with Pakistan to defend our territory, put down secession in some parts of India, made the smooth transition from a British controlled region to an independent country. All states on the day of independence become Bharat as in Art 1.
Later, the next major changes in the form of States Organization Act 1956 brought into effect the concept of linguistic states. Madras province (in which the existing TN was a part) gave away its territories for the formation of new areas including Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka etc.
In 1967, the new state government changed the name of this state from the existing name Madras state to Tamil Nadu. Officially the name Tamil Nadu came into existence then. Later the state capital, Madras was renamed as Chennai in honour of the Telugu ruler Chennappa in 1996.
One can clearly understand TN that is now is far different from the province that was in Aug 15th, 1947. The union is an indestructible part but at the same time the states enjoy clearly constitutional powers as mentioned in the state list & shared powers under concurrent list.
Let @arivalayam not write a new history for the state. A party can speak for the state - no doubt about that - but not at the cost of glorifying a false narrative. Tamils are unique and as our Hon PM Shri @narendramodi Ji had mentioned, ours is the oldest language in the world.
Let the new govt not play with fire by playing with words. When the word central govt was mentioned in their previous DMK’s rule (2006-11) & when they were in power in the central government form 2004 to 2014 as part of UPA, why do they have to resort to the word ‘Ondriya’ now.
Is it because they are hollow in their developmental agenda or to hide their inefficiency in controlling the 2nd wave of COVID or the very poor vaccination in the state?. I’ll leave you to ponder & to find the reason behind their new drama

Some important understanding reg the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021

# The new rules require the social media companies to set up an India-based grievance redressal officer, compliance officer and nodal officer.
This is important so that millions of users of social media who have a grievance get a forum for its redressal. We know how millions of ordinary people are harassed in social media which no genuine redressal mechanism available but it will change now!
# Create a system through automated tools & technology to identify the content of rape, child sexual abuse. There should also be sufficient staff to review & monitor the working of these tools.

Trying to rival most of our MNC’s in terms of marketing? This Save Democracy Campaign coming from a family that has dismissed maximum no of democratically elected state governments in India by misusing Article 356; the darkest period of Indian democracy - emergency under them

No internal elections for @INCIndia for decades;
Did everything possible to thwart regional leaders in our polity thereby depriving any leadership.

Why this anger @RahulGandhi ?

1. Is it because a person like @narendramodi who came up the hard way on his own terms?

2/4
2. You want to hide the group of leaders - G 23 - revolt against a one family, one dynasty and one party concept in India by your new spirit?
3. You couldn’t favour your usual corporate friends?
Leadership is earned and it can never be a mantle to be worn on someone’s head.

Participated in the book release function in Mysore on Kuyili, the brave body guard & confidant of ‘Veera Mangai’ Velu Natchiar.
She sacrificed her life in 1780 in Siva Gangai fort to destroy the arms & ammunition of Britishers. The war of Indian independence started then!
The Book written by eminent mysore advocate Shri. Shyam Bhat captures Kuyili’s life in detail. The author had travelled extensively to all the 28 villages near Siva Gangai where Kuyili’s descendants are present till today.
We had seven of the direct descendants attending today’s function.
This is an important story of a brave woman that needs to be told & to a wider audience. The Britishers’ treachery & rewriting of Indian history had made them as bit players till now.

DMK is back to its own game when it’s at the receiving end in TN. Their MO is this
1. Take control of couple of news channel’s to twist a statement to suit their political agenda
2. Use that to provoke coalition side leaders to retort & respond by blurring the context of Q’s
3. Relentlessly hound the leaders they want to target by posing Q’s that are ridiculous by working out good cop - bad cop among the journalists.
4. Target any neutral social media channels by doing mass reporting of their content - now most mass reporting is from Bihar
5. By doing this, threaten any SM channel that don’t budge to their eco system
6. Negotiate and work out election packages for SM influencers and Journo’s months before the actual elections
7. Create an all out social media war by provoking cadres of both parties
