The drone that was recovered after an attack on Erbil looks similar design to the Iranian-origin "remains of an Iranian Shahed-123 unmanned aerial vehicle are seen at the Iranian Materiel Display at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C., 2018."

It is believed that no US or US-led Coalition troops or their facilities were attacked.
The US Consulate in Erbil has strongly condemned the incident,
This is yet another example of the Iran-backed #DroneWars against US facilities in Iraq, remember the @leloveluck and @John_Hudson scoop in May about a different attack on Erbil

Strong words from Israel's new FM on this Golan issue; Foreign Minister Yair Lapid in response to reports on the Golan Heights:

"The Golan Heights are a strategic asset and integral part of the sovereign State of Israel."
Lapid: "The US has recognized our sovereignty over the Golan Heights and their strategic importance to Israel’s security. Anybody who spreads rumours about the cancelation of this recognition harms security and the declaration of sovereignty..."
"...and is willing (not for the first time) to bring about real damage to the State of Israel and endanger its security and relations with the US, just in order to harm the new government."

This leads to some questions, there are only two Israelis believed to be held in Gaza; Avera Mengistu and Hisham al-Sayed. Mengistu is an Israeli from the Ethiopian Jewish community. And the bodies of IDF soldier Oron Shaul and IDF officer Hadar Goldin.

Thread: One thing that disappoints me in some media is seeing online or print platforms give prominent oped space to offensive, racist, inflammatory articles that are incitement under the guise of the "the author is important"
There are a lot of important voices. When a publication chooses a voice and gives it huge prominence for days on the home page, they're not just publishing something random, they're endorsing it. Because it is being given special treatment of prominence.
The publication can't then hide behind any critique of it by pretending critics are trying to "censor" the content or "deplatform" it...because one has played a role in giving it more attention.
