Here's 9 Reasons Having a 'Good Job' Won't Make You Happy.

Written by a 6-figure salary employee

//Thread
At the age of 20 I achieved my dream job earning over $100k.

2 years later I wanted out ASAP.
1. You have no control over your life.

Got a wedding? Nope.
Friends party? Sorry can't make it.

If a company controls your time, you don't control your life.
2. You'll never fulfill your potential

Your value is capped at your salary.

Over time your dreams will slowly fade away until you settle.

"It's not a bad job really" you'll kid to yourself.
3. You'll get comfortable

A salary is a lazy man's game.

Progress doesn't happen in the comfort zone.

Get out of the groove you've put yourself in & take control of your life.
4. Poor financial IQ

I've met people earning 6 figures for 30 years who don't have a penny.

They buy a big house.
Buy a nice car.
Have an expensive wedding.

They're DEPENDANT on their salary because of poor financial IQ.

Now they're trapped.
5. People label you as your job

"Oh that's John, he's a [insert job title]"

C'mon, you're better than a title.
6. You'll never experience freedom or wealth.

Your salary won't be high enough to afford genuine wealth.

You can be comfortable, but rarely wealthy.

You also have to keep selling your time.
8. It's boring.

We're meant to build & create. Not doing the same thing for 45 years then die.

Depression rates are so high because people are unfulfilled & over worked.
9. It's a rat race

You'll spend your whole life chasing the carrot.

Promotion.
Pay rise.
New role.

When you achieve it you'll instantly start looking for the next dangling carrot.

Live in the moment & build assets.
10. Mindset is everything

I'm not shitting on jobs, everyone needs to make money.

But if you want to achieve great things in the long run, you NEED to find a better way.

Use paychecks to invest into your future empire.

Have the right mindset & never stop learning.
Struggling with your mindset?

If you want to start thinking like a millionaire, I tweet everyday to help you build an unbreakable mindset.

Peace ✌✌

How I overcame anxiety & started building a business during the pandemic.

// THREAD //
Around 2 years ago I was in a hole mentally.

Stressed
Unhappy
No direction
Wasn't eating
Panic attacks
Having night terrors 3x a night

But I had the courage to turn it around.
After 6 months of intensive therapy, my mindset had shifted beyond belief.

Write your thoughts out
Speak to people

You'll thank me later

I've met 1000+ different people in the past 4 years.

Here are 8 ways you can build million $ relationships.

** THREAD **
Talk about them -

If you take 1 thing away from this, let it be this.

Everyone's favorite subject is THEMSELVES.

Listen to how many times they use the words "me" & "I".
People LOVE to talk about themselves.

You should ask about THEM.
Mirroring -

Use it to build rapport.

Example.

They say "I just got back from a business trip"

You say "Business trip?" adding a voice inflection.

This allows you the chance to learn more about their situation without breaking rapport.

6 differences between millionaires & 'get rick quick' (GRQ) junkies.

// THREAD //
Goals -

Millionaires break long-term goals down into actionable chunks.

I like the 5/3/1 strategy recommended by MJ DeMarco.
Where do you want to be in 5 years, 3 years & 1 year?

Take your 1-year goal & decide what you have to do TODAY.
Mindset -

Millionaires understand that building wealth is a process.

Consistency over 6 months > 14 hour days for 3 weeks then giving up.

GRQ junkies want instant results & live in Koh Samui sipping Pina Coladas.

When they fail, they give up.

Their expectation is flawed.
