1/If Democrats are serious about their programs now, and a win in 2022, they’ll do what McConnell did in 2018 when he controlled the Senate.

2/In 2018, McConnell wanted to get radical rightwing Supreme Court judges on the bench for lifetime appointments. He simply had all his Republicans vote to alter the filibuster. Brett Kavanaugh couldn’t be filibustered.

3/The GOP’s message, heard straight from Fox and Republican officials is:
Evil baby-killing White-hating corrupt thieving Democrats stole the 2020 election and plan to keep doing it. Republicans must massively roll back voter eligibility and remove those "fraudulent" voters.

4/And what is the Democrats main message:
We "problem solvers" must work with our "credible", "trustworthy", "patriot" GOP "friends" and if their policies favor the 1% few but don't agree with the majority of Americans, or benefit the US as a whole, we cave in to them.

5/Joe Lieberman, who put the nail in the coffin of the ACA public option, ensuring billions in extra annual profits for his benefactors in the health insurance industry, is the guy who put together the infrastructure "bipartisan" negotiation.

6/The bipartisan plan agreed to, far from just getting a portion of @POTUS' infrastructure agenda done, would actively undermine it. The scheme would fund new infrastructure by selling off current infrastructure to the 1%. Think tolls, rents, and deteriorating service.

7/Privatizing was unacceptable to Democrats when Trump proposed it and there’s nothing different about it that would make it suddenly acceptable now.

8/The Democratic party hung on by a thread in 2020. If they now are too weak to demonstrate to voters they are willing to get things done, the resulting failures on promises will affect 2022 turnout worse than 2016, and you know what happened in 2016.

9/And repeating that could mean the end of democracy in our republic for at least a generation and perhaps forever.
