And been misunderstood as having gone mad from vaccination by some Twitter uses who didn’t believe me when I tried to point out that it is satire (sorta a compliment?)
For just over a year I’ve tried sharing Poets and poetry in writing and recitation and shared my own
I’ve shared short stories by Vonnegut
And by Poe
Recent events specifically here in America and in particular experienced personally and hearing the incredible time and energy @martyrmade put into his most recent podcast has made me feel compelled to shift my attention.
I’d like to see if I could apply the same kind of approach to artfully but sincerely share (maybe bring to life for a contemporary culture far faster and less inclined to have the patience to and even less likely to have the time) to enjoy historical writings.
I’ve asked people on social media platforms in the past if they had any requests. The Keats and Poe both came from people’s requests for recitation so…..
What would you like to hear from America’s great non-fiction writers and essayists, archives of founding documents or letters written by or between our founding fathers and mothers?
I want to see just how true it may be that the truth is more powerful than fiction.
And that artfulness can be found without any need to create a narrative; and there is something much much much more beautiful than deconstruction & just maybe my sense of a Neo-Realism & an authenticity has merit…
…. and maybe, just maybe experimenting can sweep the savagery post modern philosophy has left underfoot and cleanse our pallets cause if we can’t remember why we are worth saving how can we even hope to stop those that think so little of us?
‘We need beauty because it makes us ache to be worthy of it.' - Mary Oliver
Any requests?

Unmarried, and caring for his 94-year-old mother, he was a well-loved character in the quiet residential area.
But now his neighbors think he is a domestic terrorist.
Yes, he attended then-President Donald Trump’s rally in Washington, DC, on Jan. 6, but
he never entered the Capitol. He was in a friend’s room at the JW Marriott a 30-minute walk away when the Capitol breach occurred.
Nonetheless, he was raided in February by the FBI anti-terrorism task force, handcuffed, paraded and detained for three hours while his apartment
was ransacked and all his devices confiscated. Four months later, he hasn’t been charged and doesn’t have his devices back, but his neighbors are shunning him, and he’s had two strokes from the stress.”
