...while also building a long-term business that could potentially change your life.
(Step-By-Step)
// THREAD //
Step 1: Write Down What You Are Good At
This 1st Step is important.
To get someone to pay you $$$,
You MUST be able to provide value.
So...
>How can you provide a benefit that someone is willing to pay for?
>What can you teach someone that will improve their life?
Most people don't believe they are an expert in anything...
But this is the completely wrong mindset!
You just need to know more than whoever you are teaching.
You don't need to be THE expert...
...you just need to be A expert.
Write down a complete list of ALL your skills.
Step 2: Find An Audience For Your Skill
Choose one of your skills that has an audience.
The next step:
Figure out what aspect of your skill people will pay you for.
(Twitter is great for this)
Ask yourself:
If you taught your skill to an audience, how would they benefit?
Step 3: Sign Up For An Email Provider
This will let you gather your potential customers' contact info + send marketing messages to them.
(Pro Tip: Mailchimp is free)
Next step:
Create a quick landing page hosted by your email provider.
Make a note of the Landing Page URL.
Step 4: Create A Video Tutorial Demonstrating An Aspect Of Your Skill
This video is to
>showcase your skills
>establish yourself as an authority
>entice potential customers to sign up for your email list
The simplest & cheapest method for this is YouTube and/or Facebook.
Step 5: Start Posting Your Video In Relevant Facebook Groups+ Twitter
So you have your Landing Page + Video...
So it's time to gather email subscribers.
Pro Tip: FB has promotion guidelines - here's what you need to do:
>Get involved in any group before posting your video
>Leave comments, answer Q's, and add value in the group
>Only then can you post your video
Remember:
The goal is to get email sign ups,
So write a small blurb that attracts attention + gets sign ups.
Step 6: Create A Course Or Service You Can Charge Money For
Now you have an email list,
So you're ready to make $$.
Create a flagship course you can sell to your audience.
Your course should include live, step by step instruction and full email support.
To determine price, look at other courses in your niche/industry.
NOTE:
Creating a course can be intimidating.
But, you don't need to have your course completely done before you launch.
You can develop your course on the fly based on customer input
Don't overcomplicated it
Also,
You don't have to sell a course.
You can simply sell a service.
Totally up to you.
Step 7: Give A Webinar And Launch Your Class Or Service
Up to now, you have:
- An email list of people interested in your material
- The framework for your flagship course setup on Teachable OR a service you can sell
- A small library of tutorials in your tool belt
It's time to start making money!
The best way to sell your course or service is by giving a live webinar.
