I had a wonderful time teaching non microbiology students here at the University of British Columbia last semester

I took it upon myself to sell these approach to universities in Nigeria. My letter stated a visiting role for FREE and virtual class
Only one (EKSU) out of the over 15 universities that I wrote acknowledged my mail.

From ABUAD to CU to Achievers to JABU, none actually replied.
The last three days taught me a lot.

My teaching strategy includes:

1. Sending my notes in advance to the class

2. At the beginning of the class, I introduced the learning objectives and key terms.

3. We had multiple choice questions at the end of the class which was fun
4. I created an atmosphere where EDI exists. They can either wait at the end of the class or send me an email

5. It's not so difficult to learn if the environment is conducive and our students are treated as colleagues!

Something to note about LOR

Letters of recommendation
My undergrad was in a different field so the research was very different from what I am doing now. Who should write my letters of recommendation?

Given you have two (with an option of three) letters, it would be good to include a letter from one person who
can speak about your current research and one person who has known you longer, even if it may not be in your current research area. The longer-term perspective is definitely important and valuable.
