3. The last time something like this happened, it happened to the Libs in 2011. A long period of decline generated an apparent sea change in the campaign. The result was a bunch of weird splits that gave both the NDP & Cons a bunch of seats they don’t normally win.

Fellow white people: ask yourself how this story would be framed were this man Black, Indigenous or Muslim.
Not meant as a criticism of Mercedes or Global specifically. It’s a systemic problem.
We all carry these unconscious biases around. The quickest way to get rid of them is to recognize them.
