How many kids or grown adults have ever shouted at the top of their lungs as Jeff Koons was making his art? These beautiful pieces of cardboard capture icons in an age where cultural moments are being created on courts + pitches + fields in real-time for the world to see.
None of this is to discount this, or any of the most expensive contemporary artwork, but art spent thousands of years being very top down and the internet age has blown that away... little pieces of cardboard, imbued with sports history, are going to be the new generational flex
