Despite being very close to Mumbai and Thane, Wada, Vikramgad, Jawhar and Mokhada blocks of Palghar District are still far from development. Mountain ranges and rivers makes this area scenically very beautiful.

Keshav Srushti Gram Vikas Yojana is working since 2017 for overall development of villages in this belt. After doing study of need of these villages they have decided to focus following areas:
-Water Resource Management
-Innovative Agriculture Skills Training

-Training in Business Skills
-Alternate Energy (Solar)
-Woman Empowerment
-Environment
-Value Education
-Health and Hygiene Improvement
-Government Scheme Follow up
They have decided to focus on 75 villages.

On Sunday,4thJuly 2021 they had organized Plantation Drive in few villages & under Urban Rural Connect (URC) initiative appealed citizens of nearby cities to join hands in same drive.

Some of us from Dahisar visited #Wada & could see the work of #KSGVY. Mr.Santosh Gaikwad CEO of #KeshavSrushtiGramVikasYojana shared Vision/Policy/Execution details and mentioned that URC is need of hour in order to ensure sustainable development model for these villages.

Apart from participating in Plantation drive we saw Banana Fibre plant & few handmade products by local women.
We visited one remote village 'Bavli' & got to know various challenges that village and kids face.
Kids in cities are still managing through online platform of education
