I've been writing about the alarming effect of the extremely powerful building trades councils throughout CA for years. They partnered with Valero in Benicia in a gigantic money blitz in 2018 to dash the candidacy of a moderate environmentalist to City Council there. 
It's therefore hilarious to see the-environmentalist-until-we-get-a-stadium crowd back the Building Trades Councils, the most toxic and monied advocacy organization for dirty industry in the state. A building trades ad that sounds right out of Trump playbook, from LA in 2018
