Today I gave version 1.0 of a rheumatology emergencies lecture to @BU_BMC_Rheum fellows. Thanks to @AlisonBays & @joannamarco for ideas.

I'd like to figure out an integrative way to supplement the talk with #tweetorials
@BU_BMC_Rheum @AlisonBays @joannamarco One of the cases was lupus nephritis (with a preview of other complex lupus manifestations and overlap presentations).

Here is a thread on lupus nephritis:
Can't talk about #lupus without including graphics from @Lupusreference such as this one:
We also covered scleroderma renal crisis. More in depth talks on the pathophysiology and mgmt of SSc will come later. But we did touch on BP control with ACEi.

Here is a whole tweetorial on this from the master:
Speaking of the tweetorial master, he has one on GCA focused on the histopathology:

If these don't exist already, I imagine some enterprising person interested in rheum and med ed could create tweetorials on GCA and...

-ophthalmic complications
-ASA use
-the data for use of pulse dose steroids for vision loss
I didn't have time to cover all rheum emergencies, so had to leave out things like CAPS (not the autoinflammatory syndrome which unfortunately shares the same abbreviation...):
