She was beginning to think that creating a social media account was the worst decision of her life. But he found it hilarious every time her expression changed as she scrolled through her IG feed . It was like watching a living emoji. A very beautiful one at that.
Another minute passed and he watched the frustration on her face quickly fade into an inscrutable expression. And suddenly he was panicking. What was it that made her stop scrolling? Was it an old video of his? A tagged photo perhaps? Or worse, was it a nasty comment?
"Let me see it."
"It's nothing."
So he reached for her hand that was holding the device causing her to nearly drop it on his face. Sure, it was lovely to gaze at her from this angle, but her lap was still a danger zone for a lot of reasons. Getting a broken nose for one.
But seeing her laugh at her clumsiness made it worth the risk of a broken nose.
"Mhiane. I almost ruined your handsome face," she apologized ruefully.
"I'll forgive you if tell me what you were looking at."
"It's nothing. It's just a zoomed in clip of one of our scenes."
Okay. That made him even more curious. Especially because she was blushing.
So he got up from laying on her lap and snatched the device from her hand.
"Ya!" She freaked out then stood up and attempted to get her device back.
He just laughed then pulled her with one hand.
She landed beside him which made it convenient for him to tuck her in his arms. He did so effortlessly, while he tilted the iPad to an angle that allowed both of them to see the screen.
She was mortified when she saw their rain kiss on a loop, all in its zoomed in glory.
"Ah..so this is what you were looking at," he grinned mischievously.
"No it's not. You must've tapped on it accidentally," she lied.
But he could not forget how it made her stop scrolling and the thought that it affected her was just too amusing to pass up.
"I wish the world knew how many takes it took to get that perfect shot," he continued teasing.
And as he expected, her small fist landed on his arm. She didn't find the humor in it, but it always made him laugh whenever she punched him.
Maybe because it felt like nothing.
"It took several takes only because your tongue kept making a cameo!" She retorted, her arms now folded on her chest.
So he put the iPad down on the table, but his smile was still loaded with amusement.
"Come here, you," he said softly as he snaked his arm around her waist.
"I really shouldn't have created an Instagram account," she pouted.
"It's for your fans. They miss you," he reassured her. "And it's not like you post anything."
"Is that supposed to make me feel better?"
"No. This one is," he smiled then planted a kiss on her lips.
She hated how his affectionate and straightforward nature just naturally drew her in. But she couldn't help it. He's an idiot.
He's her idiot.
"You just get away with anything, don't you?" She squinted at him.
"Of course, I do. You love me," he smirked then kissed her again.
