"Having fun yet?" She poked his nose as she lay on his lap, watching his lips widen into a smile and narrow back into a grin every other second.

What she wouldn't give to see that joy in his face all the time.

"Ne," he nodded, then bent down to kiss her on the forehead.

He then flipped the iPad and showed her the screen, prompting some giggling as she read through the tweets about his recent post.

"I still don't know why you felt the need to divert their attention from your bromance with Soo Hyuk-ah. You look so good together," she jested.

"We do right?" He guffawed proudly. "But did you see how quickly they went back to shipping us with one cryptic post?"

"Cryptic?" She sniggered, her gaze was loaded with derision. "Love, you're a lot of things. But cryptic isn't one of them."

"You're one to talk."

"Wae? It's always your posts that they crack easily. You'd make a terrible serial killer."

"Psshh," he pouted. How could he argue with that?

She then lifted her head just enough to reach his face and planted a kiss on his pout.

That should make him feel better.

And right on cue he was grinning like an idiot again.

He then took the iPad from her hands and put it on the side table.

"Thanks for letting me post that clip. I know It's not ideal after you posted a clip of your hand," he muttered as he took her hand in his.

"You know I like to keep things private. But I realized that it's not so bad if we share our happiness to the world, sometimes."

"Are you...happy?" He asked reluctantly with a half smile while fiddling with her fingers.

"What's with that question?" She asked back.

She suddenly felt a knot in her chest. The kind that tightened and loosened simultaneously with his smiles. And right now it only twisted in one direction, because she could see a twinge in his eyes and feel the sting in his question.

Was that her doing?

Did she make him question if he really made her happy?

So she got right up and sat properly beside him on the couch. Her hands then found their way around his waist as she hugged him from the side.

"Did you have to ask? Don't I look happy?" She asked playfully with a pout.

He then wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer to him, clasping his arms together on the small of her back.

"I asked you first," he argued, but his tone was just as soft as the way he was looking at her.

"I am happy. Because you make me so."

"Jinja?"

"Eoh."

He then took her left hand again and fixated on her ring-less ring finger.

For some reason, it was making her flustered. All of those comments and tweets about them being engaged must have affected him.

Should she be nervous?

"Everyone assumes that we're getting married soon," he muttered.

"I know. But they also assumed that you and Soo Hyuk are an item, so what do they know?" she jested with a nervous chuckle, hoping it would lighten his suddenly serious mood.

"But is it too soon to ask--"

"Yes, it is" she cut him off promptly. She already knew where he was going with this, just by the look in his eyes.

"Not exactly the yes I was hoping for."

"Ya, what's with that face," she tried to console him by placing her hands on either side of his face.

"It's just rhetorical for now, but you're so quick to say no. What if it's the real question? What would be your answer then?" He pouted for the nth time.

"Didn't we agree to wait a bit more?"

He looked at her & instantly regretted his behavior when he saw how worried she was.

"You're right, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to sound like I'm rushing you," he apologized.

"Ya, it's okay. You don't have to apologize," she comforted him as she took his right hand and clasped their hands together.

So he kissed her hand softly before he uttered his next words.

Because maybe, just maybe, that would make his thoughts more coherent and he'd be able to articulate his feelings in a way that would speak to her heart.

"If there's one thing that I need you to understand is that I don't need more time to decide that I want you in my life. I already do. But if you need more time, I'm okay with that. I already waited for you all my life. What's a bit more?" He explained with a small smile.

For a moment, she was stupefied by how much love was carried by that statement. How could he be this sure about her this soon?

But for all of her misgivings, she was sure of one thing: He was worth it, risks and all.

"I love you," was all she could manage without choking up.

"I know... I know," he assured her, while wrapping her in his arms again. "Should I ask Soo Hyuk instead?" he laughed haughtily.

"Ya!"
