The data coming out of @IsraelMOH on the efficacy of the Pfizer vaccine against delta variant is alarming. the file can be downloaded here: data.gov.il/dataset/covid-…
below is an image showing the % of Israelis fully vaccinated (column C) by age group
@IsraelMOH@deeptabhattacha@GuptaR_lab@BillHanage .@IsraelMOH has uploaded a report with data on the vaccination status of recent/delta hospitalizations & deaths: t.me/MOHreport/8251
43% of total hospitalizations are unvaxxed
40% of patients in serious condition are unvaxxed
of 11 recent COVID-19 deaths, 8 were fully vaxxed
@IsraelMOH@deeptabhattacha@GuptaR_lab@BillHanage here’s data on the vaccination status of hospitalized seriously ill (larger group than criticals) COVID-19/delta patients. this age-stratified data implies the Pfizer vaccine is working well to prevent hospitalizations in younger age groups; efficacy progressively drops with age

Israel is currently lapping the rest of the world in administering the COVID-19 vaccine to its citizens. In this thread, I will explain how Israel is dispensing the vaccine and attempt to explain the reasons for Israel's success: ourworldindata.org/covid-vaccinat…
Israel has a taxpayer-funded health system, but it is less centralized than many single-payer health systems like the NHS. All Israeli citizens who maintain residency in Israel are a member of 1 of 4 “kupot holim.” Each govt-funded kupat holim is like Kaiser Permanente or the VA
At the moment, only Israeli citizens over the age of 60 (and HCWs, but I think they’ve already been vaccinated) can make appointments with their kupat holim for the vaccine. The result is that they don’t end up waiting in long lines as in Florida
.@IlhanMN RTed an Intercept reporter’s tweet about AIPAC attendees’ COVID-19 diagnoses. There was absolutely no reason for her to do this except to elicit the schadenfreude responses she predictably got. This is shameful for a sitting member of Congress.
Even though I never tagged or named him, @ryangrim sent a bunch of Ilhan fans to ratio me, alternately implying I’m racist and saying AIPAC attendees getting COVID-19 is karma, Zionists should get debilitating diseases, etc
While the replies wishing a fatal illness upon me are obviously the worst, 1 of the most bad faith replies I’ve consistently gotten is that Ilhan was just RTing helpful news about a conference her fellow Congressmen attended, so this was a relevant thing for her to tweet, except:
