A reminder that all shops in NSW are currently required by law to have an alternative digital sign in sheet for those unable to use the QR code. Image
Many people may have cognitive (or physical) limitations which prevent them from using QR codes. Or they may lack the financial resources to own a smartphone.
People with #dementia for example may be unable to check in this way due to having difficulty learning new things.
Those without the ability to use technology may still be fully independent in other areas so it is important to ensure that all people have the right to stay COVID safe without facing resistance from businesses who may be unaware of their responsibilities.
Please @NSWHealth continue to broadcast the obligation to provide an alternative to the QR code in public health messaging AND the need to assist those who may need some extra help. All people deserve the right to stay covid safe. @DementiaAus @neuraustralia
