* Its former name were Brahmadesha, Burmah and Rengunudesha
*from ancient times Many odias were settled as colonial maritime businessman

In Between 1820 - 1941 number of ships were sailed btn Gopalpur, Ganjam to Rangoon port in Burma

* According to the 1930 census, there were 43,000 Odias in the country at that time.

*At 1930, two ships were running in between Gopalpur to Rangoon named Jaladurga & Chilika

They destroyed many hindu shrines .

Even they kept the name of srikakulam as "Gulsanabad" .
Golconda chief mohammad ali malik khan invaded kalinga's plain region and

After his invasion, many structure lost their glory .
