The part of the media that feigns anger at misinformation is uncritically promoting a story today by Luke Harding that Russia was blackmailing Trump -- the same Harding who has published many false stories, championed the Steele Dossier and claimed Trump was long a Russian agent.
It was Harding who published was one of the most sensationalized stories of the Trump era: that Manafort repeatedly met Assange in the Ecuadorian Embassy. It was utterly fabricated. Everyone knows it's bullshit, never happened. Yet the Guardian has never corrected or retracted it
Now suddenly, Harding claims he obtained leaked, highly sensitive Kremlin documents that just so happen to prove all the lies he's been peddling for years, that not even Mueller's huge team found. Because it advances liberals' interests, journalists are uncritically spreading it.
I will once use this shabby behavior to against highlight 2 points:
1) The contempt and loss of trust people harbor for the corporate media is completely justified and well-earned.
2) These outlets are by far the most prolific and destructive disseminators of disinformation.
So many journalists who claim to be angry about disinformation and fake news never object that the Guardian -- to this very day -- keeps this Harding story that everyone knows is a fabrication on its site, and never retracted or even corrected it. That's because they're frauds.
I'm watching now as one journalist after the next spreads this Luke Harding story. They have no idea if the documents are real. They know he is one of the west's most dishonest, reckless reporters. They don't care. The story helps their political agenda. That's all that matters.
The corporate media deserve this. Don't feel shy or ashamed to express your contempt for them. They've earned it. They have completely corrupted journalism and spread lies casually and frequently. No skepticism about what they say is too much:
Countless liberal corporate outlets spread this CIA lie weeks before the election -- acting as CIA stenographers because they were that desperate to manipulate the outcome of the election. Why would you trust them ever again?
For a long-time, harsh critiques of US foreign policy and interventionism were found on the populist right. Listen to Pat Buchanan (who worked for Nixon and Reagan) as well as Ron Paul on US policy toward Israel. Very, very few Dems now speak this way:
In February 2021 -- more than a year before Russian troops entered Ukraine en masse -- the inspiring democrat, President Zelensky, banned 3 popular opposition TV networks by accusing them of spreading Russian disinformation.
It'd be as if Biden banned Fox or Trump banned CNN:🇺🇦
In 2014 -- after Victoria Nuland, @ChrisMurphyCT, John McCain etc. used NED to fund protests in Kiev to remove the democratically elected leader and replace him with an unelected pro-US puppet -- Kiev began bombing ethnic Russian civilians in Donbas:
@ChrisMurphyCT It's bizarre to watch history re-written in real time to serve war propaganda: how Azov Battalion was described as neo-Nazi by western elites, only to be turned into heroic warriors the minute we armed them.
EXCLUSIVE: Trump's media company and Rumble jointly sue Brazilian Supreme Court judge Alexandre de Moraes in a U.S. federal court in Florida, arguing that his most recent censorship orders require a global ban, thus violating US sovereignty and US law:
This comes in the wake of yesterday's indictment of former President Jair Bolsonaro, accusing him of plotting a violent coup (that never happened) against Lula and Moraes.
That indictment follows polls showing a collapse in Lula's popularity, with only Bolsonaro beating him.
A residual guardian of GOP establishment foreign policy - @RichLowry - urges rejection of Tulsi by denouncing her support for Snowden.
To do so, Lowrey falsely claims Snowden "handed [NSA docs] over to Julian Assange’s Wikileaks."
Snowden never gave a single doc to WikiLeaks.
This isn't a small error, nor is it an excusable one. Anyone who knows even the most basic facts of the Snowden story -- which should be a requirement for opining so didactically about it -- knows he only gave docs to the Guardian (through me) and WPost (through Laura Poitras).
Lowry also repeats the standard establishment smear against Snowden -- totally false -- that he "defected to Russia."
Even if he had, it'd be understandable - Obama DOJ tried to imprison him for life -- but Ben Rhodes admitted Snowden tried to leave Russia and they trapped him.
Pigs are as intelligent and socially complex -- if not more so -- than dogs. Morally despicable factory farms keep pigs in cases so small they can never turn around, step on their babies, and go insane. The whole industry is a menace to public health, and destroys family farms.
You don't have to be vegan to be disgusted by industrialized abuse of animals. Animals are among the most majestic and beautiful things on earth. They feel pain, suffering and joy from connection.
Most people can't bear to look at what happens inside these monstrous facilities.
Under the past several presidents - including Biden and Trump - the agencies required to regulate factory farms, including to stop abuse, have been run by industry cretins who ignore the law and then get rewarded after.
Beyond that, the letter itself that they fed to their puppet Bertrand (now promoted to CNN as a reward for her service) explicitly referenced claims in the last part of the letter that the materials on the laptop were "Russian disinformation": exactly what Brennan denies.
Indeed, this pre-election lie from CIA goons had only purpose: to protect Biden by deceiving key institutions to believe the materials were unreliable because they were "Russian disinformation."
That's how people like Jen Psaki promoted it, and it's why Big Tech censored it.
