Young Labour gives its unconditional solidarity to the Cubans in the struggle against imperialism and its full support to the call for the US government to immediately end its criminal blockade of Cuba.
During this global health crisis, as in every other, Cuban doctors & (1/6)
medical staff have travelled across the world to aid a global working-class denied vaccines and adequate healthcare.
Since the revolution Cuba has consistently fought against imperialism across the globe, playing a pivotal role supporting the anti-apartheid struggle in (2/6)
South Africa & across the continent more widely.
This has been achieved while drastically raising the living standards of the Cuban people from literacy rates, to child mortality. Especially in comparison to many other nations in the region beset by neocolonial exploitation (3/6)
& to some of the appalling social conditions in the US.
The Cuban revolution has won all this despite facing imperialist attacks and economic warfare by the US from the first days of the revolution.
Through its blockade, propaganda campaigns & the 243 new sanctions imposed (4/6)
by the Trump administration, the US is working to direct anger over the social consequences of this imperialist siege against the Cuban social system.
This siege, these sanctions and disinformation campaign must be brought to an end. (5/6)
Socialists everywhere must oppose this imperialist campaign for what it is and stand in unwavering solidarity with the Cuban revolution. (6/6)
¡Viva Cuba!
