Harold Smith who was a former British Colonial Labour Officer between 1955 - 1960 said that the British Government rigged the first and most important election in Nigeria in favour of the North. The British never left, they kept the North in charge for them .

A video thread..
"The election was rigged, contrived, the intention was THE NORTH SHOULD RULE NIGERIA"
"Where are all these millions of people in the North? Where are they?"
The results of the elections were announced by the British Governor General even before the votes were in. Nigeria has always practiced Selection and not Election.
"The British Government knew the North would do as they said after independence"....... Hence why they left them in charge.
"this was cheap and low and criminal by the British Government, and I opposed it then and I still oppose it. I was warned if I told you this, my life would be a forfeit.
"Dr. Azikiwe was blackmailed to do our bidding"
What Azikwe was told was this, "the real powers will be in the hands of the Northern Emirs"

Azikiwe had no real power.
"This was fine in the North because we were friends with the North"
"we were discriminating against the Southern Politicians in favour of the Northern Emirs
"Nigeria is one of the world's biggest tragedies of the 21st century "
