the best thing about comics is having to do the reading. which is also the worst thing.
"look this was mentioned in issue 77 of adventures of zorkon on page 22. obviously they were laying the groundwork for this event 15 years later. how could you have missed it?"
me in high school: geometry? i dont get it
also me in high school: well darkseid's pursuit of the anti-life equation spans the cosmos, known and unknown, which puts him into constant conflict with the new gods. his relationship with them spans back to...
the most frustrating thing for wannabe comics readers is asking "where do i start?"
you just have to jump in and ride the wave. there's no beginning man, cause it never ends #zen

my challenge to you: ok, you are not "surprised" by the article. if you are compelled to comment on your lack of surprise, you should RT the tweet or the article itself. consider it a "like you're surprised?" offset.
(this is my least favorite response to a story, ever. i dont get the point of it. but maybe this can encourage you to spread stories anyway. always be spreading stories. we're in an information war.)
generally conservatives see a story that confirms their priors as an opportunity to turn more people to their cause while liberals see it as a moment of "doesn't everybody know this already?" and imo the cons are right in their approach.
so i moved up to the tier in @feedly (the best best best way to actually read news) and ive been playing with their AI thing to sort through news and im now obsessed with training it to pick the perfect mix of stories. #nerd
@feedly me, when the ai doesnt get the right story picked:
ive got straight up rss feeds, google news searches, reddit feeds, youtube feeds all going into this and im trying to make it spit out perfection. mad scientist stuff.
this kind of reminds me of the 100 million times when republicans/fox would spend days and weeks saying "obama loves x, he loves x so much." and then obama would deflate the whole thing with one line like "i dont like x."
im not arguing that this will stop the gop/fox (same thing) from saying biden is a communist/socialist. its just that outside of their intense bubble, nobody in america actually believes joe "ive been here for a long time" biden is a communist. and this reinforces it.
the gop spent millions last year calling biden a socialist/communist. 81.2 million people voted for him. it didn't work.

"all of time. all of space. an infinite array of world leaders, summits, meetings, bilaterals and such. and i am always there. because im... the chancellor"
DOOOWEEEEOHHHH
"yes, you dance across time willy nilly meeting with world leaders but while you thought you alone spanned all political space time you forgot about me.
im powerfully strong on coup. if i did coup, i would be couping all over your face. nobody has ever been so strong so powerful on coup before. people would say "ive never seen such strong, thick coup." a man comes up to me, tears in his eye, he says "thank you for the coup, sir"
people are saying, and this is true, "sir, you've done it. you've done coup sir." and i'd powerfully strongly -- very powerful - say, "you're welcome for coup." thats what i do. i do coup. i. do. coup. okay? coup is what i do. i am top at coup. the best at coup.
crooked hillary or sleepy joe they can't do coup. i do coup. ive done coup for years. when they were wasting time i was doing coup. i did coup in new york. it was the highest rated coup. people said theyve never seen coup like that. i was doing coup, coup, coup.
