Dr. Roy Taylor, who has done groundbreaking work in diabetes reversal, and colleagues explain how type 2 diabetes can be reversed by weight loss and avoidance of weight regain
Fatty liver is closely correlated with diabetes, and substituting olive oil for soybean oil reduced fatty liver and decreased insulin resistance in men.
Seed oils promote fatty liver, and thus metabolic syndrome and diabetes.
We know that many cultures, now and historically, have eaten large amounts of carbs but did not become overweight or diabetic.
This could be due to lack of dietary sugar, or my preferred explanation, lack of seed oils. (Or something else.)
Consumption of garbage food, made with sugar, seed oils, and refined grains, leads to obesity and then to metabolic syndrome (prediabetes) and diabetes.
In turn, nearly half of Covid deaths are seen in diabetics.
Add in metabolic syndrome and obesity, likely far more than half
I'll leave the implications for society regarding lockdowns, Covid deaths, and all the damage they've caused as an exercise for the reader.

Alcoholic liver injury is mediated by PAI-1, a blood clotting factor.
Linoleic acid, main fraction of seed oils, also increases PAI-1; this shows that seed oils might be doing the same thing to the liver as heavy drinking.
My client Majed completely transformed his body composition in just 12 weeks: down 20 pounds and 4 inches around his waist.
Here’s his testimonial:
“I had a big belly even though I was working out 4-5 days/week
Truth is, I wasn’t sure that coaching would work
But clearly, PD’s advice was spot on
I went from 4-5 days a week training, to only 2 days a week
And I lost 4 inches off my waistline, my arms are bigger
And energy levels are fantastic"
