Over the past 6 months, the @joinditto advisors have had the chance of speaking to hundreds of people looking to buy a health insurance plan.

Thread.
And one of the most frequently asked questions is this-

"If I'm already covered under my company's health insurance policy, do I still consider buying an individual plan?"
And while we never push people to buy into a separate plan, personal health insurance can come in handy on so many occasions.
1.) An unexpected layoff: You won't have coverage if you're no longer working for the company. And finding a comprehensive health plan at the time can be challenging if you have a health condition.
2.) A sudden urge to work on something of your own: Yes you could buy insurance when you make this choice.

But once again, if you develop a health condition, between now and then, you may no longer be able to buy a comprehensive policy.
3.) If you were to switch jobs in the future, you should never be in a position where you pick a company that offers better healthcare coverage. Ideally, you should be in a position to pick a company that offers you the best career prospects.
4.) And you can always use the personal plan to supplement your company cover. If you have 5 lakh from the company and a 10 lakh personal plan, you get 15 lakhs worth of protection if you're ever hospitalized.

I still remember when I was in the 10th grade, my father passed on one of the most life-changing books for me.

The Warren Buffett Way by Robert Hagstrom.

A thread.
Life-changing how?

Well, it was the first time somebody had shown me a glimpse of the magic of financial markets.
In fact, my curiosity was piqued to such an extent that I'd carry the book around everywhere I went.

But there was one particular bit in the book that outright blew my mind.
