How old is the worship of Divine Mother Shakti in India?
The archeological records point to 9000BCE ( 11,000 years old at least) and of course that’s the archeology which is known.
👇🏻 harappa.com/sites/default/…
This particular site at Sidhi in Madhya Pradesh is the (second) oldest site of worship in Asia.
It contains the famous Baghor stone which is a Yoni shaped triangular stone which is having ferruginous colour and represents a remarkable continuum of Shakti worship!
The religious significance of the site was definitively stated in the original work by Prof. J Desmond Clark of the University of Berkeley/ Dr Sharma.
The significance of the site would have not been realised had the archeologists not visited Kerai Ki Devi.
The question you must ask is why the downward facing concentric triangles having stone is being used for Shakti worship?
What is the significance of the colour Red and Yellow?
My surmise is that the site is a LATER site which replicates some older original site in the region.
The reason is that this site is associated with Hunter gatherers and hypothetically there must have been another older parent site of ancient people who were not hunter gatherers but growing rice etc…
Another hypothesis: that red is the colour of blood (menstrual) = creation.
That 9000BCE timeline for Shakti worship is conservative in my humble opinion ( I think I will be backed up by other learned researchers who look at the radiocarbon dating)
Another paper says it’s conservative.., I suspect by around 500-2000 years which will make it older still.

Although it’s very early days in the UK to know for sure, we can see the numbers of cases are going up, but hospital admissions are staying down and deaths are also low, which is what happens when massive % of population gets vaccinated.
👇🏻
% population vaccinated in UK
Now, let’s look at the figures for people who tested positive and the deaths within 28 days of a positive test.
👇🏻
You can see that, although figures for positive cases have risen, the death rate is not rising the way it was… (1.9% increase only)
Early days but positive news.
Now, look at the figures for hospital admissions:
Again the link between cases and fatalities is not what it was.
👇🏻
We will know for sure around August time but it looks like the situation has improved quite a lot.
Let’s hope
Do also note that the 14th war night of the Mahabharata was also on Krishna Ekadashi (K11) as it is TODAY and Moonrise time given in blue screenshot is 241AM. (At night)
👇🏻
Here @NileshOak ji is mistakenly asserting that this Moonrise represents a full Moon.
However, the biggest blunder is not yet done.
Shri Oak calls this K11 Moon as a Kartika Purnima. Yup!! Same Kartika Purnima which can only occur much before war in Mission of Peace, as Vyasa met Dritarashtra before the war!
👇🏻 “Paurnimasincha Kartikeem”
This leads to the father of all blunders!
In 5561BCE according to Shri Oak, the Kauravas are in the battleground, Krishna is in Hastinapur and the Pandavas are in Upaplavya (Vana Parva reference)….
Thus there is nobody to fight the Kauravas in battle and the Gita didn’t happen!
One of the biggest fallacies in spirituality is that a person must be famous to be spiritual.
There is nothing like that.
In fact some of the best spiritual figures I have met have been relatively unknown (Nakhate Maharaj).
In general you will find that whatever you are spiritually is something. Hypothetically let us call it X.
Now… if you start becoming popular, you may have to adjust to people’s likes/dislikes especially if you are reliant on them for money.
One thing that the pandemic teaches but that wisdom came early to us medics and it’s difficult unless you see death on some sort of regular basis:
“You are what you are… nobody cares..”
Death comes to all. After that account balance will be found.
Traditionally Moon is karaka for the manasa and Saturn is considered that which dries that juice… that can be (mostly ) involuntary or occasionally voluntary. The mind undergoes introversion (mostly forceful)… but for occasional people it’s voluntary..
This is perhaps one reason, Saturn is also karaka for Tapascharya .. Root Tapa = to shine, but also to suffer, to burn, to mortify even)
Acharan of Tapa… = discipline to mortify/suffer/burn/shine or indeed all of those things.
ShaniDev’s names include “Kalatra Putra Shatrutva Karanaya “… now this sort of enemity with wife/partner and sons of course comes from the history of Shani and Aditya… however, it can also be enmity with disciples/ Putra Tulya, etc.
An old Ganesh yantra.... if memory serves correct, it’s similar to the reproduction of the Yantra that the Peshwa worshipped at Parvati on top of the mountain in Pune.
Generalised principle:
Tantra is visualisation + Nyasa + mantra repetition + ancillaries. One presumes that he who succeeds at this sort of visualisation of oneself using the 1,25,000 X 9 principle japa/homa etc “becomes “ a fraction of the Ganesha in that form!!!
Sri Rama
Thus when the sadhaka pursues the discipline of the Tantra shastra, Ganesha himself finishes the personality of the sadhaka and there stands Ganesha... instead of the sadhaka.
Small thread on practicing of common mantras without a Guru or upadesha.
When growing up, there were literally 100’s of young/middle aged and old sadhakas in Pune doing some or the other mantra with no Guru deeksha.
Most got good (even great) results as such.
In general those who adhered to Niyama got good results. Niyama = doing the practice every day, sitting on darbha asana, etc and Brahmacharya... not taking sankalpa...
Pune those days was a different city. Very fortunate to have been there in that time and space.
Those who did not adhere to those rules got no results.
Even those whose pronunciation was wrong sometimes got good results... 😂😂🙏🏽🙏🏽
