Hi everyone, excited to kick off this #BlackWidowWatchParty with you now. Follow along for some behind-the-scenes stories from the making of #BlackWidow. I'll do my best to answer some of your questions along the way. Let's press play ▶️ - KF
Young Natasha, played by Ever Anderson, is an incredible young actor who happens to be the daughter of movie star, @MillaJovovich. ⭐ #BlackWidowWatchParty
Production had the tricky task of finding a town that could double for rural Ohio circa the mid 90s. They found it in Rome, Georgia. Shoutout to our Production Designer, Charlie Woods.📍🏡 #BlackWidowWatchParty
While it looks like a hot day in Cuba, this location was actually an old WW2 American military base outside of London. Some VFX helped create the complete blue water and sun-soaked tropical look. Shoutout to our VFX Supervisor, Geoffrey Baumann. ☀️🌴 #BlackWidowWatchParty
The second dinner scene which is the heart of the movie. -KF #BlackWidowWatchParty

This is one of our few main title sequences but Cate Shortland and the creative team really believed we should tell the story and the horrors that Dreykov was responsible for at the beginning of the movie. - KF #BlackWidowWatchParty
Hard to find Russian caviar, that Mason delivered for her. -KF #BlackWidowWatchParty

However in Norway, we were on location in...Norway! Scarlett actually jumped into the freezing cold water to get the scene! 🥶 #BlackWidowWatchParty
During shooting, the crew saw fresh wolf tracks on set. No wolf sightings though (thankfully). 🐺 #BlackWidowWatchParty
Hotels were scarce where we shot in Norway, so crew and cast stayed on a hotel boat normally used for shift workers on the oil rigs and wind turbines. The boat travelled overnight along the fjords to the next location. 😲 #BlackWidowWatchParty
The production ended up shooting in 3 different continents: North America, Europe and Africa to create the globe-trotting spy movie. 🌎 #BlackWidowWatchParty
If you like this amazing and brutal hand-to-hand fight you can thank Fight Coordinator, James Young, and Stunt Coordinator, Rob Inch. 👊 #BlackWidowWatchParty
You will find out, but not on this Twitter thread. -KF #BlackWidowWatchParty

When Yelena ran into the courtyard holding the vial before realizing she is too late is one of my favorite touches from Director Cate Shortland and @Florence_Pugh. #BlackWidowWatchParty
Because we wanted to explore what Natasha did between leaving Tony Stark in Civil War and her arrival with Steve and Sam in Infinity War. -KF #BlackWidowWatchParty

Too many to mention, but this watch along party ranks pretty high. -KF #BlackWidowWatchParty

Did anyone recognize the voice on the other side of the radio just before the building exploded? - KF #BlackWidowWatchParty
Both. We plan years in advance but continue to work on them for weeks until they release. -KF #BlackWidowWatchParty

The vest was an early idea to tie Yelena and Natasha stories together beyond this film and create a surprising emotional response when viewing Infinity War again. It's a cool vest. A lot of pockets. -KF #BlackWidowWatchParty

I think a lot of you have noticed the nod to Yelena and Natasha on his shoulder, but obviously he reserved the biggest on his back for his favorite person. -KF #BlackWidowWatchParty

The day before shooting the gulag sequence, a rainstorm melted all of the fake snow. It was a scramble to sweep out the water and replace it with new fake snow before shooting. It was all hands on deck. Shoutout to our Production Designer, Charlie Wood. ❄️ #BlackWidowWatchParty
Some of them where available for a while. They might just be on EBay now. -KF #BlackWidowWatchParty

It was a pleasure. She's an amazing actress and we're proud to have her as a part of the MCU. -KF #BlackWidowWatchParty

During the shooting of Alexei (@DavidKHarbour) getting changed into his Red Guardian suit, there was one take where he actually got stuck inside the suit and had to call for help to get out. The shot even made it into the movie. #BlackWidowWatchParty
During the dinner scene, the family sits in the same seating arrangement as they did during the opening sequence in Ohio. #BlackWidowWatchParty
The part that we were previously unaware of that made her the hero that we know so well, which is primarily her relationship with her dysfunctional spy family. -KF #BlackWidowWatchParty

From her epic training for the hallway fight in Iron Man 2.. to the around the world Avengers press junket... to working with her as a producer on this movie - it's all been one of the most memorable and best collaborations of my career. -KF #BlackWidowWatchParty (1/2)
She's an immensely talented storyteller who has the ability to find deep levels of character connections. In our first few meetings it was clear that she understood who Natasha was and how to tell her story. (1/2)
Shout out to Executive Producer Scarlett Johansson for bringing her to our attention. -KF #BlackWidowWatchParty (2/2)

I love it all, but collaborating in post production is my favorite part. -KF #BlackWidowWatchParty

Alexei singing "American Pie" to Yelena was a @DavidKHarbour idea during rehearsals. One of my favorite moments from the movie. - KF #BlackWidowWatchParty
The position of Natasha and Yelena passed out on the ground in the jet is meant to be a direct mirror to the scene earlier where they’re shipped off to the Red Room. #BlackWidowWatchParty
Yes, the arrow necklace was Scarlett's idea. She's been wearing it since Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Good question.. Although, wasn't Captain America frozen in ice then? -KF #BlackWidowWatchParty

He put in a lot of work with our fight coordinator and was ready to take on the role day one. -KF #BlackWidowWatchParty

A lot of the widow pictures featured on Dreykov monitors were daughters of crew. Cate wanted to ensure the windows felt like real people to make sure it had an emotional impact on Natasha. #BlackWidowWatchParty
One of the Widows, Jade Xu, was born in China, and is a multiple World Wushu Champion. She may even have a brief cameo in a future Marvel movie… 👀 #BlackWidowWatchParty
The skydiving sequence. It required a talented team of skydivers to do dozens and dozens of real life jumps to get all the footage. -KF #BlackWidowWatchParty

Many thanks to the amazing @OlyaKurylenko for not only her amazing portrayal as Antonia/Taskmaster but for also keeping the secret for over two years! #BlackWidowWatchParty - KF
We 100% agree. All of us at Marvel Studios are excited to have @OfficialJLD in the MCU. Did you know the TVA logo upside spells VAL? Neither did we until someone on Twitter pointed it out! -KF #BlackWidowWatchParty

I think that Yelena like all of us will carry the memory of Natasha throughout our lives, but she'll be doing it in her own way as her own character. -KF #BlackWidowWatchParty

Thank you all so much for watching with me. Let's do it again sometime! - KF #BlackWidowWatchParty
