Re-watching #AvengersEndgame. The #MCU made a lot of fantastic story decisions... but the gutting of #BlackWidow’s character over the course of a few movies is indefensible.
And her fate in Endgame is mind-bogglingly dumb. And largely unnecessary.
In terms of story, Black Widow is one of the most important characters in the #MCU. She does so much heavy lifting, from exposition to emotional stakes.

Theory about the "why didn't Captain Marvel just snap" thing: I think the radiation from doing the snap would probably still kill her even though she's stronger than the Hulk and Thanos, because they're resistant to it. (1/5) #AvengersEndgame
She's way stronger than the Hulk and can clearly take a punch to the face from Thanos. But I don't think Thanos survived the snap because he's "strong", it's because he's resistant to gamma radiation, just like the Hulk. (2/5)
Take a close look at the background in Infinity War when Thanos uses the Reality Stone to show Doctor Strange what Titan used to look like. The people there are human sized and proportioned (without a Thanos chin), not an 8-foot behemoth like Thanos is. (3/5)
In the past 10 days, I watched all films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Some I'd seen before, others I watched for the very first time. The following is a thread of the #MCU films ranked from worst to best, in my opinion.
#22: The Incredible Hulk - This story is a total downer. Was I ever supposed to feel happy while watching this movie? This was not your typical “origin story” as it was basically an unofficial sequel to the 2003 Hulk film. To me, the film lacked character and a purpose....
...While parts of the first act in Brazil were promising, the rest was tiresome, asking myself why I should care about what my eyes were watching and my brain was processing. Easily the most forgettable of the 22 films.

First sekali yang Avengers buat adalah cari Thanos yang dah menyepikan dirinya di satu planet. Lepas dah jumpa, Thanos terangkan yg dia dah musnahkan semua batu infiniti tu.
Sería muy interesante armar el maratón de #MCU alrededor de #Avengers, pero acomodando todas las escenas de todas las películas en una sola línea temporal. No incluyo las series por que sería sumamente largo y complicado.

Primeiro temos que levar em consideração o que o Prof. Hulk fala: quando alguém viaja pro passado, o passado se torna o futuro da experiência daquela pessoa, e o presente se torna o passado dela. E o passado não pode ser alterado pelo futuro.

As #AvengersEndgame rightfully celebrates all the great @Marvel heroes on screen, I just wanted to tip my (ahem) Cap to the actors who play them… many of whom take seriously the responsibility of portraying champions of goodness. I got to see that up close over the years. 1/8

Congrats, @lsirikul! And you address one of the biggest issues I had with #AvengersEndgame’s time travel logic: The “present” of the main MCU is in fact not the “prime” MCU—it’s an alternate continuity created by Cap’s decision to go back and stay.
So here’s an interesting thing to note: Dr. Strange saw 14M versions of reality and this alternate was the only one where Thanos is defeated.
But what defeated Thanos isn’t just the recovery of the Stones—or at least that’s not the original “intervention.”

By going back in time and staying, Steve likely had some role in encouraging Peggy and Howard Stark to found SHIELD—and to safeguard the two Stones that Steve and Tony later acquire.
