Thank you @mentorshipzim for giving me a chance and opportunity to share on your page. I am pleased to share everything about my journey and please feel free to ask anything. My name is Malone Gweshero (@Eng_Malo ).I was born in Harare, Zimbabwe.
I did my primary and secondary at Nhowe Mission and my A-level at Chipindura High School. I was an average student passing out from an art class at A-level but had studied in a science class on my O-level. It was right after my A-level when I released that,
I needed to study and have a career related to medical field. The question was how looking at a mixture of combinations that i had. I decided not to apply for anything until i had a plan. My friends started school earlier that year 2016 and i was still home.
This other day i found an opportunity to study in India , i explained to them how my academic situation was like. After some days i was offered a place on a condition to re-do A-level which is grade 12 in India. I was already attracted to BME and I agreed.
2016 June i left for India. They had given me a year to do grade 12 , I studied maths, physics, biology, chemistry and computers that whole year , passed and qualified to start my first year in BME. 2017 moving on , the journey started, it wasn't easy but i
only had one option which was to pass. I did my first project in my third year on which i designed a sleep inducer and it was a success. In my final year project i worked on an IOT(internet of things) based health monitoring system with data storage .
My final year project had a correlation with the current pandemic COVID-19 in which my objectives were automated diagnosis and self aid. It was a success in which i configured many sensors such as ECG,EEG , temperature etc. Im May 2021 I graduated with first class in,
Biomedical engineering. As an intern i have worked in a private company under the wings of several engineers on which my duties were refurbishment and calibration of medical equipments such as autoclaves etc. However being a student I engaged in
several activities at school. I won a certificate of excellence at school 2019-2020 on which i engaged in the induction program assisting first years academically. I participated in the ASIA'S FIRST EVER in which i represented Africa and won a certificate in
United Nations World Tourism Organisation. I am currently back in Zimbabwe and open to work given the opportunity to and also develop my country.I also had a life after academics. Mal's kitchen which originated from my name was also part of my life as i have
passion in cooking.Looking at how fast the African community was growing in India , i did not only see family i also found a business opportunity in front of me . I started off as little as selling food ,homemade food to 4-5 people per day until i was a service to many.
Mal's kitchen grew miraculously which I believe was God's grace and also with the support I received from friends and family. I ran this on my own and i had to balance it with school like i said i only had one option which was to pass in the end. I would
gracefully say Mal's kitchen was a complete success and i wish to start operating here in Zimbabwe since i got my company registered. I am currently back in Zimbabwe and i wish to work in Zimbabwe. Having a look at our medical situation, the country needs me
and other biomedical engineers at large. I am open for work and any opportunities that will broaden my knowledge. I'm currently on the job hunt which i hope to get soon and any business ideas in regards to BME. I believe by the grace of God ,i have something
to deliver to the society as a whole. To someone out there thinking it's too late , no it's not .The most important thing you can do for yourself right now is to Start. Fix your eyes to your goal and align everything with God's will. Nothing is impossible
for a black child. To someone thinking there's no more chance due to different reasons , get up the world is waiting for you.
Once again thank you @mentorshipzim for giving me this opportunity to share just the beginning of my story.
God bless you all.

I shall not mention save to say that the institute is based in Bethesda, Maryland&one of the universities is based in Massachusetts. As one member of my doctoral committee put it, these are jobs that most American academics dream of and long for but will never have, yet I have 3.
So what have I learnt in this journey.
1. Opportunities are there, if you dare look for them.
2. Even if you feel like you don't deserve or you are not good enough do not disqualify yourself
3. Beyond a certain level career success needs to be supported by good habits.
To this end I find these habits helpful.
1. The habit of humility-no matter how smart you are remain humble. It will help you to accept your fallibility, forgive your mistakes&learn from them and from others.
2. The Challenge of kindness-I challenge myself to do a random act of

In 2011 I was offered a job at UZ Medical school as a lecturer in Radiology. At the time, my young sister was the Chairperson of the Sociology dept(she is now the Vice Chancellor of Women's University in Africa). Before I started work at UZ, I visited her&gleaned from her info
about working at the UZ. After that, I also visited professor Nziramasanga who was heading the Teaching and Learning Centre. I asked him. a simple question-what should I do to succeed as a lecturer&become a professor in the fastest possible time. So before I even started work
I had promotion in the cross hairs. One thing that I learnt about career development is that if you serious about climbing the ladder from the first day you must have a plan&you must prepare yourself to acquire the skills needed to succeed in your boss's job. Before I had my 1st
