"In China, we are now picking up speed with our new e-models and are still planning to double deliveries of our ID. Family to double compared to June"
June sales excluding Dealership deliveries are 2,014
Zellmer continued
"The IDs are well received by our customers: Since its market launch, the ID.3 has already been ordered 113,000 times across Europe and our ID.4 57,000 times"
All VW numbers include deliveries to Dealerships that in 2020 were between 24 -57%
VW Group Global BEV Sales
75% of BEVs were sold in Europe where Chinese BEVs are not yet available as well as the ModelY
In the first 6 months of 2021, VW Group launched 6 new BEV Models
BEV Sales per Region in 2021
128.078 🇪🇺 Europe
18,514 🇺🇸 USA
18,285 🇨🇳 China
VW Group BEV Sales by Region
For many, the VW Group BEV sales in Q2 will look strong but my negative outlook has been confirmed
With 75% of BEV sales in Europe VW does not improve in the critical USA & China markets
With 6 new BEV Models delivered in 2021 incremental sales was 18k/model or 3k/mth & model
🇨🇳 China is VWs most important market with 40% plus revenue - about every 2nd VW is sold there but VW sold only 1% BEVs of its total vehicles delivered and total deliveries in China even shrunk -12% in Q2 and -21% in June
Typo, the 2nd in the list is the ID.3

The Model Y can now be ordered in Germany with a delivery date for September
That can only be the MIC Models Y
I was wrong with my previous prediction Tesla won't for logistic cost and other reason ship MY to Europe
Troys source was correct
Great news!
The September 🇪🇺 delivery date only includes MY LR while the Performance is now pushed to early 2022
Many reasons can play into the decision from Tesla to start delivery with assumed MIC in Europe
Giga Berlin will not manufacture a lot of vehicles in 2021 and demand in Europe for all variations is from what we know high while China expands production capacity rapidly
"From the Modular Infotainment Building Kit to sunroofs, steering & transmission & the trailer coupling system"
One can "hope that this situation which is also very unsatisfactory for us will improve in the course of the 2nd half of 2021"
VW letter to customers
"However, we must, unfortunately, ask you at this point for patience for the delivery of your new Volkswagen"
"In all likelihood, we will not be able to meet the delivery date that we had reconfirmed to your Volkswagen partner"
VW continues to apologize for delivery delays
"Causes of this delay include supply shortages through no fault of Volkswagen due to the impact of the global Corona pandemic, limited semiconductor availability and global supply chain disruptions."
Legacy manufacturers use the term OTA updates as if customers don't known that it suppose to 'update vehicle software over the air'
How stupid do you believe your customers are? 🤨
VW informed that the 4 OTA SW updates they plan each year require the vehicle to be switched on or driving
SW is not downloaded if the switch on button is not activated
IOW either you drive around or you need to sit in your ID until the download is finished
No kidding 🤭
Once the download is finished the vehicle must be without a driver or passenger throughout the actualization process, the battery must have at least 50% charge and all vehicle consumers must be switched off
