How me and @EdLatimore made over $10,000 a day last week
We've have launched ~15 products on our own, and this one was -by far- the biggest
4 weeks and nearly six figures later, here's our product launch manifesto:
This strategy was inspired by @wizofecom's Social Studio, combined with Ed's and my experience
There's obviously room for improvement, but nearly six figures later I thought this is really useful for everyone who wants to launch their own product
Let's talk Twitter dinero:
It all starts with the copy.
Copy makes everything easier to sell
Not because of what customers see
But because it makes YOU, the creator, clear on what your product does
I like the @ComedicBizman approach and obsess over these 7:
1. Big Promise
2. Big Problem
3. USP
4. Big Idea
5. Unique Mechanism
6. Proof
7. Irresistible offer (this one works especially well on Twitter, more on this later)
The first thing we did was write the copy (this took 1.5 weeks)
You want to make sure you can duplicate this funnel for affiliates later on
Now let's look at the timeline:
(Each one is covered below)
1. PREPARATION
(Affiliates, Exposure, Supporters)
2. PROBLEM
(Problem agitation)
3. PRE LAUNCH
(Waitlist, extreme value, semi-promotion)
4. LAUNCH
(Proof Parade)
5. POST LAUNCH
(Applying the irresistible offer)
PREPARATION
Define a launch day that gives you at least 3 days after to do the post-launch magia
I like Thursday because on Friday everyone's thinking about the weekend (this was in fact our lowest day)
And Saturday gives us too little time to promote
Here's what you need:
1. You want your friends to help you out with RTs and emails
2. Give a copy of the funnel to everyone who's sending out an email
3. Write emails for them so they just have to copy-paste with their aff link and make money
Things to be careful about:
1. Be clear on timelines
2. Be clear on expectations, let them know you'll send tweets at X time and Y day (2 max)
3. Don't fucking forget to use their affiliate link on the funnel
PROBLEM
Now we're agitating the problem (2-3 tweets are enough)
In the end, let people know you're launching something with [BIG PROMISE] soon (1-2 tweets are enough)
If you did the copy right, this should take 5 minutes
PRE LAUNCH
This is where the money is won (not made)
During pre-launch you go all out in VALUE
I wrote a thread on how to get ghostwriting clients to pay you $2k/mo
Ed wrote one on psychological biases to grow your account
Could easily be courses on their own
The trick is in the end:
You don't promote your product (yet)
You ask interested people to join a WAITLIST with a BENEFIT (usually a discount) if they're interested
Logic goes like this:
Thread
↓
Link
↓
Landing page
↓
Welcome email with more value (mini course, freebies, tutorials)
↓
Wanna join? Get in at a lower price than everyone else
This gives you buyer data
Are people interested in your product?
Who knows, but the test will give you an idea (and hopefully give access to the people who want in early)
Go all fucking out on the value + waitlist, that's how you win.
You're not launching yet tho, you need proof that your product works
Once people buy your product, ask them to help each other out
Offer RTs, help, aff links, etc if they send you a testimonial
Now you have buyer data, proof and testimonials before you even promote
We offered out courses for free AND half price if you got in before Monday
AND how to get ghostwriting clients at $2k/mo
AND 250 tweets we added and didn't tell anyone until Sunday
If Value > Price, you win
Some irresistible offers I'm a fan of:
- Half price now, full price tomorrow (@ecomchasedimond)
- Limited capability for a group call with you (@ROGUEWEALTH)
- Courses for free inside only today (Us)
- Price keeps rising every week (@blackhatwizardd)
Use the urgency factor saying it's the last day
Then keep posting about and getting your affiliates on it
Ed actually did this brilliantly, he quote RTed everyone and gave them a reason to join
Again, class.
And that's (roughly) it
Launch preparation took around 3 weeks, the actual launch took 1
In the end, Ed, me and the customers got value from it so I consider it a massive W
Hope this was useful, hermano
Talk soon,
JK
P.S.
I teach more about launch strategies and making $$$ on Twitter
This thread is like 10% of what I cover on my course, Bow & Arrow
