Question 2: Given this would require likely at least 85% vaccine coverage to slow transmission and it looks like we won’t achieve that: should we consider an alternative way to slow transmission to the unvaccinated, esp children?
Question 3: We need to know the breakthrough infection rate in vaccinated individuals and amount of virus shedding in those breakthrough cases?
Question 4: Would giving a third mRNA immunization provide added mucosal antibodies to halt virus shedding and asymptomatic infections with delta?
Question 5: Would this be a reason to recommend a third immunization in adults and adolescents? Health equity implications?
