1)As promised, this is the thread about how Mbinga Tagwirei started. This thread will focus on what he is famous for, fuel industry. Tagwirei was a CBZ employee not long ago, juggling work and small businesses with his business partner, Mr John Mangudya, the current RBZ governor.
2) Tagwirei was a member of the Gamtox Zanu pf faction, which he had very close ties to Dzikamai Mavhaire. Mavhaire serves as the primary link between Kuda and Zanu pf. Mavhaire introduced Kuda to the Mujurus, with whom he became very close.
3)In 2014, Zimbabwe faced a massive task of refurbishing the Beira pipeline; it is unclear why the government was unable to do so, but what we do know is that Mavhaire, who was close to KUDA and Energy Minister at the time, granted him the licence with help of Sibanda(Chief Sec)
4) After obtaining the pipeline licence, Tagwirei ran into another issue (money) in order to refurbish the pipeline. He went to his good friend Gono, who was the governor of the RBZ at the time, and obtained a large loan, but it was still insufficient.
5) Kuda then partnered with a company called Trafigura ( now the owners of Puma garages)and was able to complete the refurbishment. At this point Kuda has risen from a small businessman to the cartel club, but Kuda’s team is now very weak and he needs protection.
6)Kuda knows that Zanu pf bigwigs are aware that he obtained his license fraudulently, so he moves swiftly to ( Chiwenga) team (KG6 )avoiding Lacoste directly who are after his licence (remember when Lumumba was paid to fight him akamhanyiswa makuseni chaiwo lol).
7) Tagwirei is now protected by KG6 and has made friends with the Mugabe family remember (Dema project with Simba son in law) which we will discuss next time. Kuda lavishes military officials with large sums of money in exchange for all tenders.
8) )Most military leaders at that time were subject to sanctions, making it difficult for them to move money and KUDA began to handle all of their money laundering needs. That's all for now; next time, we'll look at his interactions with ED and mines.
